Does Dean Karsky’s position on the Sioux Falls Chamber Board disqualify him to be a Minnehaha County Commissioner?

 karsky-and-hutch-goats

I could give you a long list of reasons not vote for Dean Karsky, mainly he accomplished nothing on the city council except using a rubberstamp. And when he did have an idea of his own, it would get shot down, like his malt beverage ban idea.

When Dean joined the Chamber’s Board, the city’s ethics commission ok’d the appointment. No surprise, we know who appoints them. While I certainly didn’t defend the decision, I will say that being a Sioux Falls city councilor and a Sioux Falls Chamber board member at least has somewhat of a correlation. But how will other communities and chamber boards in Minnehaha County feel about Karsky sitting on the Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce Board? I would think that would certainly be a conflict of interest.

Why don’t we save us all the headache of finding out and not vote for him. Vote Bender, Feinstein or Bonilla. As I have been telling people ‘Anybody but Karsky’ we have enough salespeople in local government already, we need to start purging them.

Sioux Falls City Council Public Input, Oct 4, 2016

Grab your hats and join the public’s salute to our grand an glorious Sioux Falls City Council on October 4, 2016. Rex Rolfing decides hats are more important than any message the public could ever present and makes sure to mess up Andre Hernandez’ message about messy streets due to construction work.

Once again is the follically challenged checking to see who else is part of the club or jealous? Interesting how contractors are not following the rules in his neighborhood just because it is one of those neighborhoods.

We get a visit from Bob Kolbe announces the county’s sale of the Hall archive building land to finance their share of the building fund.

DaCola’s own Scott Ehrisman brings up the bonding required by the city landfill for garbage haulers. An interesting moment in RexCam is when Scott brings up the lack of signed contracts for the Foundation Park fiasco (excuse us, purchase agreements). Letters of intent? Intent to do what? Oh yea, screw us without a thank you.

DaCola started discussions concerning the actions of the $90,000 per year City Clerk’s lack of due diligence in assisting Stop the Funding’s petition filing.

Our comfortable friend David Zokaites decides to acquaint our current City Council with his law enforcement issues and questions.

Kermit Staggers graced the hallowed hall to discuss Stop the Funding’s collection of 6,400 signatures and the administration’s lack of concern for citizens.

Bruce Danielson talks about the Clerk’s Office staff inability or plain unwillingness to assist in the construction of petitions causing the 6,400 signers to be left out in the rain on a sunny day. Someday there will be rainbows and puppy dogs for everyone. Ha

Sierra is back to let us know Rex is a jerk, as if we needed to be reminded but it is always fun. She is not happy about the new Romantix Annex Office Building but we are moving on.

Listen for the laughter throughout the presentations. The public in attendance and a few council members joined in the fun of the evening.

Do these people sitting in front care for anything other than hats?
