Who is running for Mayor of Sioux Falls?

Pregnant pauses are for comedians like Red Skelton, Jackie Gleason, Jerry Seinfeld and Carol Burnett but our mayor decided to try it for dramatic effect. Only thing dramatic were the laughs he received from the audience trying to figure out why he was doing it. This video is 28 minutes the mayor says he can never get back. We don’t even want him to try, the last few minutes of the video are to be remember by all of us.
Our Cameraman Bruce Danielson asked why the city government insists on modify or disappearing YouTube videos we want to see and how it affects our research as we dig into contract issues. What is the purpose in deleting videos we have bought and paid for, especially when we need them for the future?
Jeff Davis has a problem with the future annexation in Wayne Township property. The city of Sioux Falls in its land grabs is not treating those being annexed evenly. There are over 60 land annexations the city planning department wants to do but don’t want to give the owners any rights in the process. We will be doing more on this issue soon.
Our Scott Ehrisman also spoke on the missing videos posted on YouTube and the recording of the videos. We have spent a lot of money to make the mayor look good since 2010 in thousands videos no longer available to us. Demand to see them posted back on YouTube. Our mayor is likely running for future statewide office. Why do we allow him to sanitize his media? What’s he afraid of?
A neighborhood activist, Audrey Christensen, spoke regarding a need for extra parking at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center and her ongoing activities to clean up her side of town.
Veteran Steven Siano is having access problems dealing with the City and V.A. health services. Will someone step up to help him? We’ll see.
David Zokaites has something on his mind this week and he spoke up regarding zoning aesthetics, or is the lack of imagination of our builders?
Then we have Sierra Broussard speaking her mind regarding the City Attorney office’s attempt to push the gender identity ordinance last year. As Sierra was moving through her excitable presentation the mayor decided to add his two cents worth to the festivities.
Does Mike have an issue with ill-fitting suits? Was Mike trying to add comic relief to our evening? My oh my, looks like he zoned out a bit during the 28 minutes of citizen activity he can never get back. We think Sioux Falls City Council Public Input on March 7, 2017 became a symphony as it built to the dramatic crescendo the mayor gave us.
Public comment gets little attention. Councilors and the mayor roll their eyes like old nannys. Isn’t it time for pickets and signs around Carnegie Hall? When the 6400 denied their vote show, maybe there’ll be some attention and even a news report.
Yesterday (3/14) was national pie day. I thought about showing up at Carnegie with pie plates and whipped cream. Maybe the best way to get council attention is a pie in the eye.
