“There’s a tear in my beer because I’m crying for yah dear, please help run this race . . .”
When I first heard about this on Monday, I thought the announcement of Suzie’s departure and a possible run by Billie so sloppy, I just sat on the news to see if someone heard something different, I guess not;
Jones Pranger didn’t say whose campaign she would be working on, but signaled it would be for state Sen. Billie Sutton, D-Burke. (Sutton has not announced his 2018 plans.) “South Dakota Democrats have many great potential candidates like Senator Billie Sutton who, should they decide to run, would level the playing field for South Dakota’s working class,” Jones Pranger said in an email.
This could have been coordinated better . . . oh, nevermind, forgot who I was talking about. And we’ll all sit around in November of 2018 and wonder how Mike Huether became Governor.
So in other words, the guy who claims to vote for Republicans from time to time, although a Democratic leader, may end up running against an Independent who use to be a Democrat…. And let’s not forget about the actual Republican nominee, too….
Truman said it best: “Given a choice between a Republican and a Democrat who acts like a Republican; the voters will pick the Republican every time!”
Don’t let Rex see he’s wearing a hat!! What’s with the Coca Cola cowboy theme?
Half tempted to throw my name in the hat for the job. I mean I can understand people’s apprehension with electing someone young to the city council. But at this point what does the party have to loose… I mean I would atleast try to open it up to everyone and focus on the workers of South Dakota.
Don’t knock the hat idea, it worked for Trump, didn’t it?
Coca Cola cowboy theme? I say it is more like a Schlitz’s cowboy theme.

And if Sutton was running for office in what was the 2nd Congressional District of South Dakota I would say keep the hat.
Oh, how I miss the old 2nd District. Those were the good old days, when Republicans would field successful political candidates via the second congressional district, then Democratic candidates would later beat them in a statewide race…. Oh yes….Oh yes, in deed….
2nd District was the best farm team for Democrats ever, I mean Republicans. Well, I actually mean some how Republicans played right into Democratic hands back then, when Republicans all to often utilized their west river vulnerability…..
