A foul mouth red head, but disgusting?

Okay, we have all heard about Griffin. I agree, she should not have done what she did, and should have treated a sitting president better. Personally, I think Griffin is funny, but you have to be into gay men humor, which is really her style. If you are a gay man or have male gay friends, you get it. If you are an ultra conservative that thinks gays are sinners, well, I get why you don’t understand her.

To be honest, I really didn’t get her joke about Trump. Was I disgusted? A little, but more bewildered then anything. It wasn’t funny, and really wasn’t her style.

But something about this controversy really ticked me off. The word people used over and over again was ‘disgusting’. And I get it.

But do you know what is truly disgusting? A presidential candidate who brags about grabbing women’s vaginas, calls them pigs, calls his opponent a ‘Nasty Women’ etc. etc. Everyone thought that was just fine. Well it wasn’t, it was truly ‘disgusting’. Those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

Now hopefully Griffin goes back to what she is good at, and we can only wish our president would go back to his previous job to, or better yet, just go away.

  1. I think she hastily acted without realizing public anger scale associated with terrorist beheadings. She made herself a terrorist that should be imprisoned at Guantanamo. I have a few questions. What if it was Putin’s head? Who will be the first comic to raise a bloody head of her likeness?

  2. I agree. What she did has no place, anywhere. belfrage dedicated a whole hour to how disgusting it was. I wonder if belfrage did the same for ted nugent when he threatened President Obama? trump invited nugent, and fellow nutcases kid rock and sara palin to the whitehouse? Where was the belfrage outrage? Where it always is. Behind the curtain his corporate masters, fox news.

  3. I hope we can get what we all want…..4 good years of President Trump followed by 4 more good years of President Trump.

  4. Bravo L3wis & Warren Phear. Trump’s disgusting remarks belie a profoundly flawed moral compass. What’s equally disgusting is any citizen voter giving him a pass on it. And the Belfrage diatribe clearly illustrates the stupefying hypocrisy that permeates all things conservative/Republican.

  5. Her act was vile and crossed every known line of decency and fair comment. The fact that anyone will not outright condemn it without qualification is very telling. Sad.

  6. No one can defend Griffin’s photo stunt and I am not going to try too, either. But it is symbolic of the abyss which all of us are falling into thanks to the uncivilized rhetorical words and actions which are current President has brought our nation too over the last couple of years.

This month a newly elected congressman will be sworn into Congress who body slammed a reporter, who merely asked a question about health care. What that newly elected congressman did or tried to do, to the justified place and relevance of the fourth estate, was real and symbolic of this abyss, and far more damaging to us as a democratic society, than the actions of a comedian who expressed a tasteless and offensive joke with props. Yet, the congressman will be allowed to prevail, while the comedian’s act or dark comedy will possibly ruin her career.

However, I question, if as a nation, we will be safer and freer, if the punishment for a mistaken comedian is more severe, than the brutal assault and battery actions of a political leader, who is allowed to carry on his public duties in evident disrespect of the 1st Amendment and our fundamental freedoms….
