Before the council meeting tonight I learned there is now a possibility of five candidates running for the Central District, which is fantastic!
While I don’t want to say any names at this point since they have not formerly announced yet, it is a pretty diverse group.
GOOD LUCK!
Without knowing those 5 names, is it so fantastic? Because of the huge wage disparities that exist in SF, it is important that ALL districts have a peoples representive, like Stehly, Neitzert, and Starr. The central district, more so than any of the others. What do we have now? A business prop. If 4 of those 5 represent the people, and one is a business prop like erpenbach, who is most likely to win?
One of the possible candidates I really like. Not sure about the others.
I hope a candidate by the name of Wade Kolusion runs…
Any voted in previous city elections?
That’s a good question, we have already been searching.
Who are the declared candidates to this point?
No one really except Entenman and Anderson.
But here is the unofficial list;
Mayor; Zoikates, Anderson, Gun, Entenman, Jamison, Weiland
Central District; John Paulson
SE; Kiley (Incumbent)
At-Large; Erickson (incumbent)
At-Large; (Open)
I have also heard of 3 different candidates looking to run for Rolfing’s empty seat and a possible challenger to Kiley (which would have a good chance of beating him)
I see Pitty Patt over at the WussCollege is claiming another prominent Republican might jump in the mayoral race, but I have no clue who that would be.
Paulson in the central? I doubt he has any clue there are 18 precincts in the Central District. He has one concern only, precinct 14, where his beloved for profit hospital sits, and precincts 10 and 3, where his hospital wants to expand into. Huge setback if this guy wins. Hope you got a candidate in the weeds to beat the money he’ll have going for him.
John Paulson, former senior executive for Sanford and Mckennan Park resident (lives across the street on Second Avenue) is not representative of the Central District.
Isn’t it interesting Rolfing’s seat has always been a bit empty
voter, good catch. He will probably run for at-large than. But I also heard he is trying to sell his McKennan Park home. Confusing.
2nd Ave runs to 33rd street in the central district. Wouldn’t that include mckennan park?
