So this is interesting, apparently the optics were getting out of control;
We have learned from Legacy Development that it no longer employs Aaron Hultgren. Legacy Development tells us that Hultgren has chosen to pursue other opportunities.
That of course doesn’t mean he still isn’t an investor with the group, but I guess we will never know.
Yeah, but wasn’t he just the “coffee boy?” 😉
What are we to suppose was the final straw?
Apparently, knowingly and willfully skirting environmental laws did not constitute grounds sufficient for Norm Drake, et al. to separate Hultgren from employment with Legacy.
I understand that ownership/partnership arrangements take time to unwind.
But, in an at-will employment state [South Dakota], it is baffling that Hultgren’s association with Legacy as an employee continued through the progression of revelations over the past 14 months.
From this, I can only conclude one thing: the business culture of Legacy and the personal values of the other principles of Legacy [Mssrs. Drake, Cink and Canfield] are in lock-step agreement with the low-level values exhibited by Hultgren.
I would even venture to say that Hultgren learned from Drake. I was of the understanding that Drake mentored him like a father.
Fascinating to see the money move around here.
But- If KELO-Land revisits this story, they should re-do their opening sequence, because they used a photo of the antique store building in Canton SD whose wall collapsed instead of the Copper Lounge building. Angela gestures to it as it if were the copper lounge collapse. Sloppy.
The Guy from Guernsey: well said! Especially your observation about Legacy’s business ethics. City Hall ought not be commingling taxpayer $$ on projects with such a low-brow cast of shady characters.
