I was told last week that they were going to ‘endorse’ someone, I just didn’t think they were such big wussies they couldn’t pick just one. I figured Loetscher would be endorsed. There are many close relationships between the JO-LOET Camp and the Argus management. Jo is my 2nd choice, so I agree . . . with that proposal . . .

The TenHaken endorsement was done to try to save their Republican readership. Paul is Huether Part II. If it walks like duck and talks like a duck, it’s a duck.

19 Thoughts on “Argus Leader endorses(?) TenHaken & Loetscher

Have you sat down and had a conversation with TenHaken? Stehly did a nice job of talking with everyone and then offering thoughts.
Jamison and TenHaken have the exact same platform. Can you please identify one policy or vision difference between the two. That would at least be helpful in seeing your perspective.

  2. The Argus just wants to make it a face-off between “The Year of the Woman” versus “The Year of the Fundamentalist.” But if one of them doesn’t make it into the run-off, then we will have to give the Argus a “mulligan,” huh? 😉

Greg has 10 years of government experience, doesn’t wear Jesus on his sleeve, and the main reason I like Greg is that he has a sense of humor, something that has been lacking for a very long time in city hall. I have never heard Paul tell a joke. Un-fun people are Un-fun politicians. Boo.

I am leery of tenhaken for the same reasons I was leery of huether 8 years ago. Having been the marketing director of a fee harvesting credit card operation left me suspicious. tenhakens past “success” leaves me equally suspicious.

Part of me wants Jamison for the stability and experience. Part of me wants Tenhaken so that you and yours here can continue your tizzy for another 4 to 8 years.

  6. No doubt, that a Mayor ThuneHaken would mean full employment for liberal comment in this town, or would that be deployment? 😉

Loetscher has the exuberance that we need. Without the pride that fuels Huether’s every action.

  8. TenHaken has a radio ad “humbly” asking for your vote.

This is something our current mayor and TenHaken do have in common….clearly, neither one of them is Humble!

  9. An Argus Leader endorsement

    Historically, the Kiss of Death.

Jamison does wear Jesus. I got his campaign tabloid today and it’s full of it. Nothing wrong here but it doesn’t belong in politics. I voted early for Jolene. She’s got energy with the right amount of naivety. She’ll come into office angry and provoke change from the corruption that’s become known as Strong Mayor Charter. My opinion, we need women in government. They’re not selfish and will not use the office for personal wealth. How about a woman mayor and a woman governor?

Argus is from the Greek word Argos. They’ll soon become equally as ancient and the employees will find a new meaning for greek.

  12. Millenial boy has some weird ass followers. Reminds of door to door Jehavos.

Have you had a talk with the TenHaken? We have so much in common. If you come to a TenHaken meeting, I’m sure you will see were not crazy.

    Too Creepy.

  13. The Argus endorses whomever buys the most print adds. Jamison went with direct mailers. Direct mailers makes Argus sad.

Wait a minute. Haken is Huether Part II? I thought Entenman was Huether Part II.

I’m leaning strongly toward Loetscher at this point. Started out for Entenman. But I think Jeff Barth is right. Huether Hubris is at the end of its shelf life. Haken only wants the job as a stepping stone, and doesn’t have much aptitude for the job as I see it. Jamison/Entenman is really the same low energy person. Loetscher has risen to the occasion to a degree I really didn’t expect. I think she’s ready for the job.

The dems are so gullible. They fell for the same smiles and pandering when they jumped on the MMM bandwagon in 2010. They didn’t learn and Jolene has played them. Kenny was loyal for years and deserves better.

So, in the eyes of the Argus, this is our choice?

It’s funny how someone can accuse Entenmen and Jamison of being low energy. After the last eight years of MMM, I’d like to forget city hall exists. Entenmen or Jamison are what we need. Low Energy? YES PLEASE!

P.S. Did anyone see TenHater’s “testimonial” video about how large his heart is? Worried he may have heart failure at any moment!

  17. I am a Senior Citizen and I am a VOTER.

I refuse to vote for TenHaken to lead our city.

He showed his true colors at the beginning of his campaign, when he said, if elected, his focus would be on those 40 and under.

When he realized his mistake, he back-tracked (if he had known anything about voting demographics, he would not have made this error).

He then started pandering to those over 40.

    Not Trustworthy.

  18. mayor ?, raises a good point. For as articulate and bright a person that ThuneHaken appears to be, his candidacy has had many reboots to it. First, it was the “Millennial Candidacy” with his unshaven look and loose tie, then “BatHaken,” to be followed then by the trendy red narrow tie with tie clip and jacket guy, or should we say the “Millennial Trump.” And he even mentioned at Forum last Friday, that he wasn’t initially planning to make crime a major issue in his campaign, but now it is (But isn’t it for most people?). So the totality of this speaks to the quantum nature of his candidacy and soon we will find out whether this nature speaks to his brilliance or his Achilles’ heel….Because, do the voters really want such an unpredictable complexity running their City Hall?

  19. I don’t have an issue voting for women for office, but come on D@ily Spin. A blanket statement that women are not selfish or won’t use office for personal gain? We can start a list of several women in congress who appear to be doing just that.
