This is the final meeting for city councilors Erpenbach and Rolfing, and the final meeting for Mayor Huether. Councilors Brekke and Soehl will be sworn in on May 15 at 2 PM with Mayor elect TenHaken.

Informational Meeting (4 PM)

Presentation on new broadcast equipment for Carnegie (I suggested to a couple of councilors today that they should go to the Badlands Pawn auction and buy their equipment. We could have ‘Rock & Roll’ meetings)

Regular City Council Meeting (7 PM)

Item #1, Consent agenda

$46,000 for sidewalk repairs at the Denty. I guess we only build sidewalks to last 3 years around our ‘100 year’ buildings.

Our yearly handout of $275K to the Development foundation for . . . ?

Items #5-6, The Planning Commission has approved a CUP for the new owners of the Log Cabin and they are applying for their alcohol licenses. The Log Cabin may be the oldest bar in Sioux Falls, 88 years.

Item #9, allowing TNC drivers (Lyft) to accept cash tips.

Item#12, accepting the results of the city runoff election.

Nothing to controversial in the last meeting, but except to see some very happy people from the public in attendance 🙂

Correction, Isn’t Kiley staying and Rolfing leaving?

With Huether terminated, Public Comment should be interesting. So he doesn’t cry and vacates peacefully, tell him it’s a celebrity roast. He deserves one good lie from the public.
