I didn’t want to go down this rabbit hole because I didn’t want to give this person more press than he deserves. People who threaten public officials with guns really need to get their heads examined and I feel really bad for the council and the mayor to have to endure this.
I have never met Christopher except for a brief encounter at a council meeting where he said hi. I have never spoken to him by email, phone or via Facebook. The only thing I know about him is what I have seen at city council meetings.
But what I want to clarify is that Christopher William Bruce is NOT Bruce Danielson.
I have had multiple people over the past 24 hours asking me if they are one in the same. They are NOT, in fact they are almost complete opposites when it comes to philosophies about government. Danielson has also told me he has NEVER associated himself with this person.
While I am all for civil dissent of government, I do NOT condone violence or threats of violence. Do I come after public officials? Sure, but it is for their policy decisions, I could care less if they have a liquor cart and poker table in their office or take selfies in front of pot holes. Dissenting public officials should be about their actions as those officials.
