Have you noticed the blue dotted line between the Operations Committee and the Internal Auditor?

Why is there a dotted line?

Is the Mayor assigning supervisory roles on the City Council?

If Greg is reelected on Tuesday, is he planning to “supervise” the Internal Audit office?

Hmmmmmm.

  1. Hiding and redirecting spending? The usual.

Post a little something about the Floyd rioting. I’d like to read comments from your regulars. They’re common sense intelligent, maybe. I heard 2 busloads of demonstrators are coming here.

  2. In my experience, this means that while the city auditor has a direct report to the Audit Committee and Mayor, that the daily activities will be supervised by the Operations Committee. This inserts an unacceptable layer of supervision and a sideways jog which affects the independence of the auditor. The auditor should report to the audit committee. Apparently the mayor has issues with what the auditor is finding and needs to provide a diversion.

  3. Ok, the demonstration thing is serious. Buses from a mysterious faction have come to instigate trouble. There’s an overnight curfew. What’s disturbing is it’s a serious national problem. I do not agree with Nostradamus prophesy but there’s been interesting events. He forecasted a pandemic and systematic global revolution with potential for nuclear WW3. The Russians have a new missle that’s indefensible. First test blew up. It has an onboard reactor such that it can move around low and undetected globally with sudden redirects. It’s a nuke 5 times that of Hiroshima.

  4. Just thinking out loud. Likely, my imagination. I’m glad we live where we do. Other than Smithfield, the pandemic has been tame. People here are naive but they don’t vote so they can’t become revolutionary. We’re not a nuke target so we’ll have a chance if a major city(s) is attacked.

  5. Dashed lines in organization charts do NOT represent supervisory hierarchy. They represent “cross function” and/or mutual or shared task management.

  6. “They represent “cross function” and/or mutual or shared task management” where there should be none and when did the city council approve it?

  7. The blue dotted line represents the tunnel to Greg’s basement desk at the Carnegie Building.
