How many times do I have to tell you? We don’t have to worry about TIFs anymore. Heels told us in early spring ’18, during the discussion of the TIF for the development across from the Levitt, that the state recognizes TIFs and then replenishes any lost revenue from them to the impacted school districts. #ProblemSolved #IWish
The secret’s out – she still keeps a drink handy so she doesn’t have to wear a mask. Maybe the city can use some of the COVID windfall to buy us all a 1SF Yeti?
I can appreciate her addressing the housing problem. Because the media is under profit pressure, it’s hard to find a way to reach the public. The Argus has lost circulation. Broadcast is owned by national interests. Both have limited reporter resource. There’s a need for more publicly funded local information and news. What’s dangerous is when it becomes political and/or private business propaganda. It’s looking like Erickson has her eyes on becoming mayor. She spent 7 years supporting Huether and looting city credit rating building play palaces. In her last year she’s suddenly interested in quality of life. Seems obvious to me.
I found it interesting that – in a recent interview on KELOLAND Living – Erickson ruled out any future political runs, however.
( and Woodstock adds: “Well, would you want to have to defend that 2018 TIF comment in the future?”…. )
Missing Mayor Mikey yet? His TIFs pale in comparison to PTH.

“he holds libertarian views on most social issues”~~
cristine fancies herself as a proud libertarian. Based on her votes since she has been on the council, she is anything but a libertarian. She has never seen a tif or a corporate handout she’s not willing to hand out.
We all know she’s power hungry, however I expect both her and Neitzert to throw their hats in the ring for Mayor. Paul didn’t sign up for the challenges so hopefully he’s just a one termer. The big question could be, will $100,000 secretly be donated to her campaign?
