Just in case any superior officer with the force is reading this, it occurred around 6:30 PM tonight at Cherry Rock park with an officer on an ATV.
As I was riding by the ball fields tonight at Cherry Rock park I noticed a game going on, to my surprise only a couple hundred feet from the portable bathroom a player about 10-12 years old (who should know better) in his full baseball uniform and hat had his wang out and was peeing right along the trail, as I yelled at him to knock if off while riding by, he just laughed and continued, at that moment I looked over and an officer on an ATV talking to a parent looked over as I pointed at the kid, he just turned around and continued to talk to a parent.
Urinating in public, next to a baseball game and near a bike trail wouldn’t you think the officer would have said something? Nope. Apparently it is OK to urinate in a public park as long as you are wearing a youth sports uniform (I told you that is all people care about in this town).
Ironically, after I did my downtown loop, I did see the same ATV cop chasing some transients out from under the Cliff Avenue bridge, so he does have his priorities. None of them were urinating . . . yet.
I never want anyone ever to tell me to my face that our cops are overworked and underpaid, because it is complete B.S.!
The kid should be reprimanded. Not doing so speaks for the police officer. How can we respect an officer when he allows public ludeness? Especially when a citizen witnesses. Perhaps the officer was born in a barn and he got away from the 3 wise men.
Things like this will continue to happen so long as Head Start is underfunded.
On an other note, I was once in the London Tube as a homeless man, who looked like a filthy unemployed Santa, urinated in an exposed 360 degree spin before hoards of horrified commuters. Let me just say, to quote Dickens: “It was the best of times, it was the worse of times”, but at least someone was getting relief. #NoBobbieToBeFound #JustAJohnson
If an adult does that, they are placed on the sex registry list. When a child does that, they are just waiting to be placed on that list. Should the Arc be renamed: The Arc of Freedom? It’s on a trail tributary. Would “Pissing in the Wind” have made it? But blowing is apparently acceptable. But don’t worry, I am not going to go there, nor on a trail where the evidence has yet to have dried up. May police be with you.
raping our sovereignty! raping our sovereignty!
OK Karen.
I could care less what that kid did, that’s a parenting issue and none of my business, it becomes the PUBLIC’s business when someone paid for by my taxes ignores this as not a big deal.
I am not sure how germane this is, but I see that the Sanford International has been extended for at least two more years, which means the SI now has an additional two years to find a cure for cancer.
Just wait ’til you’re in your 70’s and your bladder and prostate have traded sizes and capacity. You’ll be happy no one cares where you pee.
