There are 2 of these about 300 feet apart from each other on poles along the bike trail downtown about a quarter mile east of the viaducts. Not sure how long they have been there but I think I noticed them last Fall? I am honestly asking the question, What are they?

The front part looks like a surveillance camera but not sure what the other part is. I’m also curious why 2 of them are so close to each other?

This is all just further proof that the Bolshevik Bureaucrats are responsible for the new signage on the bike trail. Going on the trail with your big brother has a new meaning now. It will also make it easier for them to document the mountain lion attacks, which will then be placed on YouTubers for the enjoyment of others. Or, is it just a warming light from an old Holiday Inn guest room bathroom? The other two, however, look like signal lights for the eventual high speed trains coming to our vicinity.

  2. The weird part is I think I also saw a police officer delivering a to go meal from the banquet to a homeless person while taking the photo. Not sure, but good thing the camera is there so it can go viral.

Yes, I’ve heard about that. It’s called Banquet-On-Demand.

Downward lens is camera. Side cones are microwave radio transmitting video to another location.

  5. Thank you Dan, but what data are they collecting? Weird.

Target for paint ball practice? Camera tickets for E-Bikes?

  7. NOT microwave radios. Focused IR bulbs to see you in the dark.

think i remember seeing a homeless encampment in the trees along the river edge south of the skatepark, west of cliff avenue, being cleared out by the police last fall.
