The South Dakota Legislature approved and made appropriations of $30,000,000 to be given to Dakota State University to help build the Cyber Expansion Building in Sioux Falls. This is in conjunction with the City of Sioux Falls providing additionally the $10,000,000 as per City Ordinance 38-22 from city funds to the same cause. The state legislature goes an additional step, by ordering a report each year the balance of funds remaining, and an itemized list of expenses of money already spent each year. When will the city expect the same?

  1. Gee, did our local school board ever send a letter like this to Maher back in the day? This must be something (Someday?) new for him, huh?

I also especially liked the part about “long-standing tradition”, which in a one party state means absolutely nothing.

In fact, our one party reality is a lot like our city council, which further means that with or without such a letter it will be business as usual for the city with this development, and actually for the state, too, with much similarity, but no true contrast.

( and Woodstock adds: “Say, speaking of our state legislature, did you see where they decided to let Jason go scot free?”… “I bet old Janklow is rolling in his grave right now”…. )
