Laugh it up, I know I did.

As I stepped up to the podium tonight at the Sioux Falls City Council meeting during general public input someone on the dais said into their microphone ‘What a loser.’ I couldn’t figure out who it was, and I really don’t care, but if you are going to lecture me about Roberts Rules and decorum maybe you need to look into the mirror.

I get it, you may not like the fact that I bring up uncomfortable things, but to vocally (not mentally) call a citizen at public input a loser as they walk up to the podium is despicable.

As I was sitting in the audience tonight listening to the proceedings all I could think to myself is that the council has turned into nothing more than 3rd graders fighting on the playground over someone stealing a Lunchable.

If it is too hot in the kitchen, get out or grow up. Pots on, Gas on High.

  1. I know! Right! I thought it was hilarious. The guy pointing out your stupid mistakes is the loser.

  2. Was this council person involved in the building of the Bunker Ramp, or merely one who is now going to try to sell it?

  3. I got to thinking about the real estate listing for the Bunker Ramp. It would go something like this:

“Location, Location, Location! Have you ever wanted to paint your own mural (Clarify with Zoning)? AND, multiple parking spots for your black and white SUVs. Plus, artificial turf with corn hole possibilities (Goofy Golf?) AND also, charming 70s era cable spool picnic tables come with this one in a kind property that is waiting for you to take possession of now!… So, call Bridges & More Realty today…. Because you will always be taken by our properties in more ways than one”

  4. Proof that the council is narrow minded. Winners and losers are who you represent. Let’s hope there are more such comments. It’s a convenient way to identify bigots. I don’t respect councilors mostly because their political truth is all lies. Being on the council is a loser. It’s sad you can’t recognize your vote makes no difference for Strong Mayor Charter. Everything about city government is bought from contributions, bribes, and developer influence. I’ve been a loser because I’ve given councilors some of my valuable attention.

  5. “What?”…. “$25 million for a corn hole operation?”…. “What the ……. ?”……

  6. Digital experts specializing in speech soundwave technology at the FBI Laboratories in Quantico, VA working on identification of the perp at this very moment.

  7. You know what LBJ once said: “Don’t get in a pissing contest with a skunk”….
