The Parks Department (or probably the mayor’s office) is building a fitness pad park by 26th and Southeastern. Many have asked ‘how long will the equipment last’? I went by the park yesterday while they were installing the equipment in the ground. While the frames of the stationary bikes and equipment are made of very durable cast steel the rest of it is plastic. Even with normal wear and tear and the weather this stuff will have trouble lasting more then a few seasons but it’s the vandals that concern me more.

Yeah, I hope Sioux Falls has better luck with this than Rapid City. Rapid had a similar fitness area along the Rapid Creek greenway when I lived there from 1988-2001. It was rarely used and it was a target for vandals.
More socialism. Governor, are you taking note?
I agree. This will be converted into swingset in 2 years
Mr. ONE wants to exercise the homeless. Feed them first so they have calories.
Noem banned Drag Shows. Only stock cars now. Also, LBGTQ references. Without enough consonants we speak Hawaiian. Desantos Republican or just plain bigotry? When it’s become a mistake to align with Trump, you go after Mickey Mouse.
“They should put this closer to the Falls, then it could be our own Venice Beach”…. “But otherwise, life is good. I’ve got my flowers and garden planted”…. “It’s summertime and Levitt soon”…. “Oh, and I almost forgot!”… “Dua has a new song out, too”…. #YES!…:

I always enjoy it when that bright colored playground stuff begins to get that old worn-out faded look, after a couple of years, like an overused McDonald’s Play Place of ball pits and tube tunnels for the kids.
Has anyone been to Venice Beach and seen the bronze goddesses and gods who were the users of the equipment. The 1980’s posers were on display to show how perfect they were. Look at the equipment now and the posers, all are droopy, saggy and faded. Kind of like our fearless leader, the pretender 11haken?
The last time I was at Venice Beach – actually, the only time – they had a bunch of t-shirt shops there to buy t-shirts, that said: “Venice Beach”. And being the fool I am, I bought one… But at the Falls we already have a t-shirt shop. So, there you go…. 🙂
Perhaps, this exercise equipment has a transformer quality, where at night they transform into Robo Cops to protect our fine city and by day they protect our waistlines…. Taking a bite out of crime while compensating for our last bites…. Because, is that really exercise equipment, or just the newest mannequin challenge?
