Besides my gut hurting for the last 48 hours from laughing at this anticipated video, I got a double hernia from all the claims made;
• Expansion of the bike trail and skate park. The expansion of the bike trail has been in long term plans years before Poops rolled in, and Councilor Neitzert is actually the one who pushed for more expansion. The Skate Park Association has been beating the pavement for almost 7 years, I’m not sure how your 2 second signature on a city expenditure line qualifies you as a contributor?
• Increase Affordable Housing and Workforce Development. Both have suffered during his administration, with NO long term solutions being offered.
• Sioux 52. While PTH did implement this program, he quickly handed it off to the Help Line Center with a taxpayer line item.
• Mayor’s Youth Council. While it WAS the first one that the mayor’s office sponsored, his opponent in the last mayoral race actually implemented one of the first community youth councils years ago.
• Report to work stations are precincts. He continues to play this word game, and everytime he does I roll over laughing.
• 100 Day Challenge! I will give him two thumbs up for this. I rocked it this year and it was fun reading other fat butts like myself getting out and busting it.
Can we expect a future Governor or Senator TenHaken representing The American Redoubt of South Dakota?
What about “accessible” housing, any discussion of that one?
AND, have they suspended the Mannequin Challenge Mondays? Else, I would think it could be hard to “report to work”.
I would also like to see an Elderly Council, or do we old people know to much like the days when we had street cleaners, the extra penny was only for roads, snow removal, and they pink rocked and tarred all of our streets each year to fill holes and reduce cracks on the roadways around here?
What about a Privy Council? I bet Taupeville would eat that one up.
AND, as far as taking credit for others’ work. Well, that’s nothing knew around here. I’m old enough to remember when Janklow said he brought internet to the schools, when actually it was just a federal grant. Or, how about the near future, when John, Mike, and Dusty will be shovel ready and showing up at ribbon cuttings for Biden’s infrastructure bill projects that they all voted against.
Also, isn’t it interesting that there are more precincts for the powers that be, while fewer for the voters or citizenry. This evolutionary reality suggests to me that those who control want to be everywhere, while those who are suppose to have the power are being gathered-up.
