“Say, who is this Ramaswamy guy anyhow and where did he come from?”…. (…. “Heck, it’s kinda like having Emmitt run for prez”…. #YellowTrikesMotorcade )

First Sturgis gets all of the rain, then Burning Man. Why is it that the people who actually pray aren’t getting enough?….. Rain, that is.

Bikers and hippies, they have a greater commonality then they want to admit:

Recycling rates? Shouldn’t we all be getting a monthly rebate check instead?

Say, did you see where an enclave of Minnesota Republicans recently met in Ft. Pierre to get rid of their chair? Maybe a zebra would be a good mascot for them. It resembles an ass, but with stripes of two colors which is like not knowing if you are a conservative or a liberal.

Has anyone realized the ivory from the elephant and Rhino will nearly pay for disposal of the collection? Ivory cannot be sold in the US but can be bartered if already here. Trade for police body cameras?
Save the Zebra for display at Carnegie. The mayor and council must start getting used to prison stripes.

Why be a councilor when the mayor can reject council vote? A quick way to replace the charter is when the council resigns. You’ll finally get respect and one of you will be elected mayor.

Save the collection by having school children paint ‘Jesus’ on them. Name the animals after books of the Books of the New Testament? Bring in skinny near-naked African witch doctors with masks/staffs for a sit down strike?

It’s a good thing the mayor’s ‘Bag of Tricks’ doesn’t work outside city limits. The best place for a combat vet in Sioux Falls is at the VA Hospital. SF police cannot access there. Federal police run them off.

Has anyone considered repurposing the old Arena as a permanent home for this one-of-a-kind collection? Return this rare collection to its original neighborhood in West Sioux (aka the Sports & Entertainment District).

I have made such a presentation, recommendation to the city council and to the mayors office about turning the Arena into a Family & Youth Recreation Center much like what Sioux City has done with their old Coliseum. I dont know about housing the Animals, but temporarily, they could be housed there…I think the next step in this discussion revolving around the Brockhouse Animals, is to organize West Sioux Falls into a Business Improvement District, this is the direction of the Home-Rule Chartered Centralized Government. IF, we are to win any support from Mayor Paul TenHaken, it is “WE” that have to come to him with a concept plan that he supports. Under a “West Sioux Falls Business Improvement District” we have our 501-c3 non-profit, we act as a community of businesses where we agree to ‘tax’ ourselves, by mean of property assessments or some kind of business tax, plus we can better raise revenues by way of federal or state grants, bank loans, municipal bonds, etc. Not only can it be used for the ANIMAL COLLECTION, but to improve the entire “West Sioux Falls” area itself, thus promoting it, marketing it, revitalizing it

The Animals were very well taken care of prior to 1987, it was then a movement occurred to incorporatize, and transition the City from the commission format, to the Strong Mayor and Council Format, grounded on “Corporate Partnerships” between 1987 to 1993, then between 1995 to 2001 we go through that transition period from old to new, and between 2004 to 2015 we work on reshaping the city by adopting the Shape Places Planning and Zoning Ordinance. DO NOT blame the Mayor on this, like the City Council, they are all just patrons overseeing the city, of where the true power of this city lies in the landowners, developers, business community, corporate partners.

As I stated last night, there has to be meaningful discussion by the “West Sioux Falls Faithful” in becoming a corporate partner to the City, itself.

  9. Are you aware that your new format makes your website almost unreadable on a phone? How am I supposed to keep track of VSG and all his aliases, and whether or not D@ily still lives in Sioux Falls?

  10. Steve. I’ll write. In short. Sentences. Just 4 U.
