I have been bugging downtown restaurant owners for a couple of years to do a lamb burger, well Roots of Brasil decided to do it, and to be honest with you, it looks like the best burger this year, unless you like a root beer float on your burger.

It all sounds rather lamb to me.
Something tells me that this lambburger will win, because most voters appear to me to be nothing but sheep…. ( Or, would that cause them to not vote for it? )

Lamb is for chislic. A burger should be hamburger only. No lab meat either. I miss Whataburger in the southwest. Mustard, pickles, onion, lettuce and tomato only. They put soybean meal in the meat so it stuck to the grill better and absorbed the grease.

AND, speaking of Whataburger, what about In-N-Out? Or, is that another topic we shouldn’t develop?
Personally, I’m happy with a Big Mac or a Whopper myself. I’m not too fancy. In fact, a White Castle will even do me…. Once again, another topic we won’t explore.
But the Burger Battle needs to start thinking how they plan to market this war, but, they need to be careful, because some might call for a ceasefire if things get too hot:

Native born Nebraskans are gonna’ flock to the Burger Battle in massive numbers thinking that this is a bierock and represents the second coming of Runza to the city.
Experienced McGovern Democrats are gonna’ flock* to it, too. ‘Cuz there is always a chance that Dua shows up in DTSF … sort of like how she just fictionally materialized for that high school janitor in a Saturday Night Live sketch.

I’m hoping for a Debacle Burger. Now, this Debacle Burger could be ordered three different ways. First, you could order the Events Center Debacle Burger with its layers of meat and internal bread, which are showing on its side, and with its bleeding condiments on the side, too, all resembling a very poor siding job. Or, second, you could order the Bunker Ramp Debacle Burger where the condiments drip down the side of the fat burger and in a true mural fashion. AND, finally, you could order the $20 Million 6th Street Bridge Debacle Burger, which would actually be quiet flat, where the burger is wedged between two sheets of WonderBread and the chef then paints condiments on top of the upper WonderBread piece so as to depict the bridge’s path, and its many amenities, which will be found amongst the gay promenade that leads to The Land of Chepara and a full heart of heartburn.
( and Woodstock adds: “Say, can you order your favorite Debacle Burger with Diablo sauce, too?”…. “Because I know that’s how they serve the Debacle Burger in Denver, Duluth, and Detroit, right Lewis?”…. )

Speaking of mustard, Runza, and other things, does anyone remember
Bimbo’s? It was an A-frame type hamburger shop on Minnesota and 17th back in the day. The late 60s and early 70s, that is. In fact, Vermillion had one well into the 1990s. l I used to eat there while in college. The A frame building is still there in Vermillion. I believe it’s a realtor office now, but for before that, the Vermillion one, in later years, added some gas pumps, too, and the lady who cooked your meat there could also pump your Ethel (I hope she washed her hands often). It was full service back then…. But back to the Sioux Falls location, I used to go to the one on 17th after Kindergarten with my Mom, that’s when we had 1/2 day K. Their fries were nice and crunchy, and their hamburgers had a mustard quality like Runza…. Those were the good old days when you could trust a Bimbo(‘s) and Ethel could be found somewhere else…. #FullService
