Watch the below video (FF: 30:00). Minnehaha County Auditor, Leah Anderson, tries to blame ES & S for her lack of knowledge with elections. At one point she complains she has to cancel her vacation to learn her job. Yah think?!

She also complains that their is too many people from ES & S answering her questions. Huh? Hey Leah, that is called customer service. We pay a lot for these services, they should provide this level of service.

Trust me, ES & S isn’t an Angel, they have issues, but there are best practices that can be followed to remedy issues.

Leah admits during the conference that she hasn’t even touched a tabulation machine and has no idea how they work . . . 4 MONTHS before a city election!!!!

We can’t hand count a city election. First off, the city already has a contract with the county to machine tabulate the votes, so this delusional idea you are going to hand count the election isn’t going to happen.

As I have said in the past, Assistant City Clerks Denise and Tamara have decades of election experience, but my worry is that they may be bullied by the Auditor. I would suggest that on city election night next Spring, the auditor sits back and learns something or better yet, take her much needed vacation that week!

  1. Welcome to Taupeville, I mean Trumpville. The paranoid have become the leaders. This is a classic cult, but just when will they want us all to drink the Kool-Aid? But when a political leader complains that they can’t go on vacation, then they must be jealous of a Bush41 running to Kennebunkport during the Gulf War, or a Trump golf outing, but at least they are not the Mayor who has to take so many pothole calls in a day.

  2. I do not like the term “Election Deniers”, this portrays a specific group of people who think a Public Election never occurred, or did not happen. No one is advocating for any presumed Election was being denied. This is a false claim, or gross manipulation.

The whole narrative being portrayed by the Specific Group of People is that the Government widely manipulated, and grossly abused the entire process of the Electoral Process, to get their choice of candidate elected to a specific office.

This Group of People does NOT deny the fact that Joe Biden received the most popular votes, let alone most ballots seemingly came in for Joe Biden. They are questioning the facts, and the narrative that some sense of fraud, abuse, and manipulation has been allowed to occur within the process, that it has led to controversies and a wide array of “speculation” to occur on whether the “RIght of Choice” has been selected to become the President of the United States itself.

This Specific Group of People have questioned the validity of the ballots, and the roles to which the Dominion Machines, and Other Voting Machines have played in the role of deciding the Election, and have called into question the ability of our “Elections” being kept secret, as promised by our Constitutional Rules and Provisions have established.

This specific group of people are NOT election deniers, nor are they just a random based core of Americans looking for attention, or for fame, they are Americans to whom wish to audit, investigate, and look closely into the effects of our elections.

This Specific Group of People are made up of both Democrats and Republicans to whom lack trust in our government, and wish to hold it accountable for its actions.

So, I highly disagree with the term “Election Deniers” and wish people would be more honest with themselves, on why they are attacking a specific group of people attempting to hold their government accountable.

Those of you who are attacking these people, seemingly have something to hide yourselves, and I question your motivated agenda to attack a group of people.

  3. Midwest Swamp Watch. Bwhahaha!!!

People like Leah just don’t get it, and don’t even try.

  4. One more thing, is this “Mike” sitting with the Auditor election-denier Mike Mathis? He’s a total rube.

My gosh, watching the last 20 minutes of this video exchange makes my head spin. I can imagine the conversation between ES&S officials after this meeting.

I’m ordering an extra bag of popcorn for the spring elections!

  5. Mike, and all of you election deniers, what you guys never want to talk about is how, yes, Biden won the Electoral College in 2020 by only 42,000 votes, but Trump only won the 2016 Electoral College by 78,000 votes, or that Jimmy Carter only won the Electoral College vote in 1976 by 27,000, or that Kennedy only won the Electoral College vote in ’61 by about 20,000, and then the classic example is Bush winning the Electoral College vote by less than 600 votes in Florida in 2000.

Now, when I mention that a given candidate only won the Electoral College by “X” number of votes, I’m talking about how for example in 1976, that Carter got 297 Electoral College votes and then won the presidency, and two of the states that he won, Ohio and Mississippi, he barely carried by a combined total of only 27,000 votes between the two of them. That year also, I might add, Ford barely carried Oregon.

Just because an election is close does not mean it is stolen. What happened in 2020 has happened many times in American Presidential history including in ’16 to Trump’s advantage. So the paranoia is unwarranted without hard facts which the election deniers have never been able to produce for 2020, and that’s why FOX News had to shell out so much money to Dominion for their libelous news courage of the 2020 election relevant to Dominion.

Plus, our current county auditor appears to have concerns that have nothing to do with ES & S, but yet she airs her concerns to them and directed to them, and why?

AND, I might also add, that you election deniers should be far more concerned about out-state RV voters being allowed to vote in our state, and I have often wondered how many of them are registered and voting in more than one state in the same time frame. In fact, I know of politicians in this state that have called these RV voters asking for their support, and in so doing, have had conversations with them where they admit they vote in South Dakota on federal issues, but when it comes to local issues they only vote in the other state that they also reside in, which is often their historic homeland. So, how can we say we have fair elections if we allow some American citizens to vote in two states at the same time, and how do we know they are not voting at the federal level in both states simultaneously as well?

  6. What do you expect, Scott? In South Dakota local control is Republican control so Trump has created enough violent malcontents like Mike Zitterich and adequate doubt in the democratic process to drive election workers from service.

  7. How about the other election deniers? Stephanie Abrahms, Robert Francis O’Rourke or how about the biggest election denier loser “Cankles Clinton?
Or do they get a pass like you give all the other libs?

  8. I’m often called a liberal by Trumpettes on Faceberg but liberals want to convert GOPers or convince them to be kinder and gentler. Me? As a progressive I’m actually working to destroy the Republican Party and erase it from the collective cultural memory.

This time Trump is the asteroid. That Republicans continue to prop up his assault on the courts and stoke his criminal race baiting is the most telling aspect of this march toward the abyss. Unless Republican Earth haters recognize the clear and present danger this president represents doom is imminent and there is nothing, nothing honorable people like Liz Cheney can do about it.

  9. The list goes on. I forgot about 2004. Bush beat Kerry in ’04 by 38,000 votes by barely carrying Iowa, New Mexico, and Nevada. Without those three states, both Bush and Kerry would have had 269 votes in the Electoral College, with it then up to the House to decide.

  10. I might also add, that with any election system we have, it is paramount that there be a paper trail that comes with it. We should never rely totally upon computers and advanced technology to be the only way to count the vote.

But with that said, why doesn’t our local auditor just do her own audit of say the last election by picking a few precincts out, count them by hand, and then see how they match the computer scanned result?

  11. I was promised an efficient, conflict-free “team” if all elected offices in Minnehaha were Republicans.

  12. The notion that a group of exhausted, sleep deprived elderly ladies can hand count thousands of votes more accurately than a computer does not stand up to any scrutiny. Just more absurdity.

  13. Very Stable Genius,

I have called for a complete Investigative Audit of the whole system. Audting all three parts, Registered Domciles vs Residency, auditing the Master Voting File in relation to Domicles, and to auditing the Ballots both Absentee and Actual ballots to ensurew that no one is registered in more than one state, nor voting in more than one state. . It is the State Legislature, City Councils, and County Commissioners to whom are blocking any of this from occuring. Let me remind you, Election Scheming has been going on in this area since the days prior to the State becoming a State. Democrats to whom were part of Dakota Land Company, and trying to establish their settlement, Sioux Falls City in 1857, and sing their political powers of D.C and St Paul, were scheming for votes even back then to get what they wanted. Back then a qualified voter was a 21 Year Old Man, who was a member of the community, which at the time, was company. Remember, they were competing with not only the Western Town Company, but with the State of Minnesota to develope territory outside the western border of Minnesota Territory. The Minnesota Democrats were also scheming to build a Wagon Trail, Pass from eastern Minnesota to California.

  14. But it would be the “sleep deprived elderly ladies” who would be handing out the iPads, wouldn’t it be?

  15. Don’t forget Mike, the first newspaper in Sioux Falls was called The Dakota Democrat. When settlers returned to Sioux Falls in the late 1860s from the Indian Wars scares of 1862 in this area, they found The Dakota Democrat printing press in the Sioux River. Oh, the irony of how Democrats are now aligned with the indigenous people in this state now, and how the Democrats rely on those people to make up half of their caucus in Pierre.

But then speed forward to the 1880s and it wasn’t until Benjamin Harrison’s presidency sandwiched in between Cleveland’s two terms, that Harrison had South Dakota join the Union as a state in the Republican pocket, which was not to Democrat Cleveland’s liking.

How’s that for some history?…. But I still think some RV voters are double voting, but I could be wrong. This is not a conspiracy theory, because after my eventual investigation, if I can’t prove it, I’ll be the first publicly to debunk this theory of mine.

( and Woodstock adds: “‘The Dakota Democrat’?”…. ( ….. “Wow, that must have been when there was more than one Democrat in the entire state of South Dakota, huh?”… ))
