Remember the upstanding business owner a few months back who needed to move one of his rental homes so he could expand his parking lot? Well guess what? They have no intention of expanding, and the rumor is they already bought a new building and are moving.
So it seems the secret intent of the property owner was to get this rezoned commercial so he could sell it that way. Which is clever on his part, but not sure I would trust my finances with an individual who can’t even be upfront and forward with government officials when requesting a rezone.
I asked several councilors if there is any remedy to this since he probably lied to the council, planning staff and planning commission about expansion.
NOPE. Once it has been rezoned it is done deal and little Mr. Pants on Fire gets to walk away unscathed.
Sometimes I wonder why people lie about the dumbest things.
