The City of Sioux Falls Parks & Recreation department continues to take necessary steps to finalize the purchase of this facility. We understand you may have seen news regarding the pause of the aquatics bond, which originally included the Tea-Ellis purchase agreement. The decision to pause that bond does not impact the sale, and we remain committed to working closely with Parks & Recreation to transition operations from Sanford to City of Sioux Falls no later than Jan. 1, 2025.
Yeah, this deal was inked over a year ago, but nice excuses.

I don’t think the city should take over Sanford mistakes. They make enough mistakes on their own. Even when the aquatics thing is tax funded, it’s a bird that won’t fly because it’s a bird that’s 3 fingers.

Making something that’s Sanford private ownership public ownership; isn’t that socialism?
Yes, the City is definitely acquiring the means of production from Sanford, which is actually communism. With socialism, a privately held GreatLIFE card would work at the new City facility as well. AND, with capitalism, you would just let the current facility succeed or fail on its own, while with fascism the facility would still be privately owned, monitored by the city closely, however, with some public funding infused into it from time to time to maintain solvency, and used to produce for the good of the City some future Ironman contestants that could then defeat any Sioux City contestants at the Great Plains Olympics. #CommieSelfies #FascistSelfies
