I could go on and on about how awesome Ali Rae is, but most people already know that. I am here to plead with you to vote for Ali Rae and NOT Sue Peterson in District 13. Sue has consistently supported legislation that moves our state backwards but no surprise from person who has to pour holy water on state taxpayer owned property before having a meeting. Talk to any lobbyist in Pierre and they will tell you Sue Peterson is the most disliked legislator in Pierre because of her RADICAL NEO-CON policies and beliefs and her unwillingness to be Bi-Partisan in solving our state’s challenges. District 13 used to be a good district for Dems but it was gerrymandered into Lincoln county so we all know the battle to win this seat by a Democrat is a stretch and with so many Trump supporters in South Dakota it’s hard road to win as a Democrat. So I encourage people who support Ali Rae to give her money, volunteer for her, make calls for her, anything to send Sue packing.

  1. Please note, however, that D13 has gotten a lot tougher for Democrats because Democrats signed off on the current gerrymandered map with the help of moderate Republicans, which then gave the Dems to very competitive districts with 15 and 10, and not just 15 as in the past….. AND, then there was that other map for Minnehaha by that pickle guy ( 😉 ) which would have instead created like 4 or 5 somewhat competitive legislative districts and a reality which a candidate like Horsted would have not only shined in but would have won given her energy and hard work; and a reality I might add, which would have been very invigorating for the local Democratic Party. 🙂 #Gerrymandering #PartyBosses

  2. #TRexSue

But the good news is that the 12-foot-high, Home Depot, Halloween skeleton, near 33rd and Western, has endorsed Ali Rae….. That’s one former giant caveman who knows what to do to a T-rex….. 🙂

  3. You are correct. It is time to retire Sue Peterson from political office. During the past couple of legislative sessions, she has placed far too much emphasis on unecessary legislation dealing with social issues.
As a Republican and a District 13 constituent, I haven’t voted for her in at least the past two elections.
It will be difficult to unseat her. She has a strong ground game and knocks on a lot of doors. She and her husband are part of the social club of poltically progressive corporatist cronies living in the outer rim of suburban Sioux Falls – the same crowd that is encouraging and approving of Big Government level of spending with the Sioux Falls City budget. Spending taxpayer money on toys and ‘wants’ over the ‘needs’ of our City.
The lefties love Bill Peterson (a situation of like appreciates like; game recognizes game?). I suspect that Sue gets a lot of the vote from the substantial crowd of politically progressive (read as liberal) voters in the district as a result.
