Seems Pitty broke some interesting news today;

Not making any assumptions, but if I had to pick a Lt. Governor, former Legislator/former SF City Councilwoman Christine Erickson would be on my short list as a “get.”

No surprise here, I heard her LOBBYIST job isn’t going so hot, so Christine is looking for an out. Lt. Gov is a full-time position. This would set Christine up for running for mayor, and since the governorship will end in two years, it would be easy to run for mayor. I guess there is worse people . . . 🙁

I was actually happy to see Thune get majority leader, I don’t think he will put up with Trump’s crap. I think you are going to see a ton of Republican lawmakers push back on the insanity, and now they control all 4 houses of government and soon the Federal Reserve.

  1. I expect Rhoden to run for re-election with his then LG.

    If the punter, I mean the kicker, becomes LG, then her eyes will be on the governorship “someday” and not the SF mayor’s office.

    I, too, was glad that Thune won. I even prayed for it.

    South Dakotans are positioning for some rather powerful positions in our federal government. AND, now that Trump has picked Matt Gaetz for AG, then what post is South Dakota native Paul Erickson going to get? Frankly, I wouldn’t put it past Trump.

    AND, as I have said before, if Rounds runs in ’26, then what are Dusty and Paul going to do? #PaulsonPleaseHelp!!

    ( and Woodstock adds: “Say, are there really enough MAGA female attorneys under the age of 26 for Matt to have become Federal District Attorneys?”…. ( ….. “Oh, wait a minute, that would be the case if DiCaprio was running the Justice Department”…. ( ….. “But for Matt, well,…. yah but…. can you become an attorney at age 15 or 16?” …. )))
