So some Bible Bumping Homophobes decided to show up to the meeting tonight and start reading from books intended for teenagers in the library. Let’s just say the topic which one of the inputers decided to read from wasn’t about kitties. Or eating kitties, but you get the picture.

The pornographic input continued.

Of course, it is just fictional dialogue between teenagers that want to engage in sexual activity.

This past year when a doctor from Sanford was interviewed about the skyrocketing STD’s in our community she said this about the pandemic. “We don’t teach comprehensive sex education in our schools.” She is spot on. So sometimes kids learn about sex from books.

As for all the gay bashing, that is expected from these folks, but as for the book banning, not on my watch. Instead of trying to remove books from the library that some kids will see as beneficial (since their parents and school isn’t teaching these things) maybe sit down with your kid and have that conversation, or better yet go to the library with your child and pick out books you think would be appropriate. It’s called “Parenting” and that applies to YOUR kids, not the community’s. I’m getting really tired of these ANTI-DEMOCRATIC FASCIST THEOCRATS trying to raise everyone’s kids. Also, it is NONE OF YOUR F’ING BUSINESS how a parent chooses to teach their kids about sex. Maybe they just need to tune into the council meeting and they can learn how to go down and put on a rubber. You all really looked like a bunch of buffoons . . . wait. Maybe they need to read a book once in awhile 🙂 May I recommend the US Constitution. There is no advice on oral sex but you learn a ton about civil liberties which is more helpful then a guide on how to eat kitty, I mean, a kitty.

SPEAKING OF KITTIES

The city council approved catch, neuter and release for stray cats. While I was initially opposed to this, I fully support this now. Ferrel cats are actually good at pest control and if vaccinated for rabies and neutered they are safe to roam our community and provide this service.

SLANDER?

A public inputer came tonight to tell the council about a certain inputer’s slander. We all know who she was talking about. Every week she comes up and slanders someone. I have told her she is going to slander the wrong person and end up being sued. While the council could ask her to stop, it is really out of their control and if she does make some serious allegations that are not true, she is the only one that would be accountable. As I have told the council about how the mayor runs the meetings, you can’t control what is said at the podium, so why bother, you are also not guilty of slander for simply listening to someone slandering someone else. I have a feeling she is going to throw the wrong VIP under the bus at the podium and we will never hear from her again because she will busy talking to a judge and not the council.

  1. Cats get paroled because the Noem gravel pit is full. City council has become a bachelor party. A get together and talk about p****. Nude overhead and a stripper!

  2. Scott, while we have differents on the topic at hand, I have to admit, that was some great public testimony relate to the children books in public schools and libary. The mayor did us all a favor by actually bringing this all to light, his comments triggerged nearly 30 people to show up to raise their voices. The city council used no more than 40 minutes to discuss agenda items, but the public commentary period took nearly 45 minutes. What gives….

As for the public slander testimony, I agree, this woman who speaks frequently, is going to upset the wrong people one day with her choice comments. I am waiting for Denny Sanford to take her to court for slander over her accusations made against him. She is banned from Fryn’ Pan

  3. Now with Gray resigning from the FBI, it’s no longer a gray area. It’s definitely a fascist state.

  4. “Say, that Patel, that Trump wants to make the next FBI Director, always has that look on his face like most of us would have if we spent all night at a bar then left to then get pulled over by an officer at 2:30 AM with the officer then shining a flashlight in our face, while we never blinked”….. 🙂

  5. Yes, with Trump placing Patriots into major roles of the Federal Government, we are going to hold ALL corrupted government officials accountable to the States, we are going to fire, layoff, get rid of all Federal Employees that do not do their job, are corrupt, and we will defund and get rid of the S.E.A a corrupted corporation that protects bad federal workers. That is not fascism, that is allowing the States to dictate and control the federal government. By doing this, it will make America better, safer, and more freer.

  6. “….That is not fascism, that is allowing the States to dictate and control the federal government….”

Okay, but that’s at least a confederacy, if you know what I mean. 🙂

  7. Libary, Mike? Seriously?

Watching this cast of kooks reminded me of an off-Broadway production of Footloose. The staged, dramatic readings were laughable and only made these people look like fools. I laughed at the undercover photos from the Pride gathering at Canaries stadium. Do you think that self-righteous couple bought some special clothes from Ragstock for the event just so they could “fit in.”

All they accomplished was to prove PTH’s point that these culture wars are ridiculous and dangerous.

  8. Directed to Archie Bunker,

You know we are an actual “Confederacy of Member-States” correct? I am glad you pointed that out. The United States of America was born, and established in 1777 as a Confederacy of Member-States who in articles 1-6 made a pact, a promise, a list of responsibilities to act as one, to defend each other, to come to each other’s defense, and to elect a national Congress to act in their best interests in foreign affairs. That original Congress actually elected the President (1 year terms), to which there were 8 of them. Then, in 1783, the Deep State came in, as per terms of the 1783 Treaty, it was agreed to have a centralized permanent national government as its own, entity, giving it power to raise revenues freely outside the “Confederacy of States” (Republic). So it was agreed in 1789 with the adoption of the United States Constitution, that Articles 7-14 would become nullified, and a new national government would now replace the old national government, to which the States would appoint “Electors” outside of Congress, to elect the President, while the Americans would now get to elect representatives in the U.S House to control all forms of revenue. “WE” are now getting back to the original foundation with the election of Donald Trump and the Patriots, in what will be the final plan to reinstate the “powers” of the Republic, where a “Confederacy of Member-States” now get to be in charge of their national government, removing all political career un-elected persons from D.C. You see, when the REPUBLIC rises, the Deep State gets all nervous. Cause they know, when the PEOPLE stand United, under God, the people rule. So yes, “WE” are a Confederacy, always has been, nothing changed in 1789, other than parts of the Articles of Confederacy were changed, nullified, and replaced. But hey, at least the “States” are collectively organized.

  9. I just cannot take anybody seriously who considers only those on their side as “patriots” and anybody else as corrupt.

  10. English can be a very difficult language to learn even for persons who lived their whole life in the US.

It should be clarified that a banned book is one prohibited from being sold or possessed within the territory of the banning entity. A book not selected for subsidized reading by being selected for a library collection is a different thing. True book banning routinely happens outside the US. That is quite a different thing from saying that if you want to read a certain book you need to buy the book because the public will not. I am unaware of any books banned by the US government for anything but classified material publication since the early 60’s when the Supreme Court clarified First Amendment rights. This article is not about banned books it is about whether or not certain books should be publicly subsidized. Nothing is stopping people from buying the rights to the books and making them freely downloadable.

One of the e-books not purchased by the ladies who run the library in Sioux Falls is the Chilton Automotive Repair Series. I think there are two reasons for that. One – the series is expensive. Two – most of the librarians do not have that book in their realm of interest or they want to promote the scrapping of all ICE transportation. Unfortunately, for those of us who want to work on their car there has not been a media storm of concern over the decision to not publicly subsidize the distribution of car repair information.

  11. But Khaki Mike, we transgendered from a confederacy to a federal system in 1788, that’s why the US Constitution is an enforceable document, but the Articles of Confederation no longer is…. 🙂

  12. V S G

First off, there is nowhere in the United States Constitution that proclaims, nor cites the use of the word “Federal” or “Federal System”.

The constitution does not use any words other than “National Government” or “the government” . Article 1 creates the current bi-cameral Congress, Article 2 creates the current executive office, and Article 3 creates the supreme court, while Article 4 creates rules and regulations of protecting states, and Article 5 establishes rules on how to amend the constitution, while Article 6 limits the states outside their borders…No where does it use the words ‘federal” or Federal System” or “federal government”

The Constitution only nullifies and replaces Articles 7-14 of the Articles of Confederation, while upholds, empowers, and maintains the authority of the States under Articles 1-5 maintaining the fact we are a “Confederacy of Member-States” that act as one, as the United States of America.

There is to be NO co-mixing between the District of Columbia vs the States.

The National Govt cannot force States to pay taxes to it, nor can the states restrict how the National govt uses such national taxes as created by Article 1 (Excises, Duties, Impositions).

Americans who use any of the National Services (Post Office, Public Parks, Medicaid, etc) are responsible to pay the National Government taxes (Duties) for using that service; Americans to who wish to transact business across State borders, national borders are to become licensed by the National Govt (Impositions), while paying excises taxes to help pay for national roads, infrastructure, water-ways, etc.

The National Government is tasked with keeping a National Treasury, printing national securities, currency, while depositing that currency/securities in each of the 50 State Treasuries equally, honestly, and fluidly, in order to allow Americans to do business within each State.

There is no “federalist system” cause there are clear boundaries between South Dakota and the Territory of Columbia aka D.C

If our politicians have used the word federal, or federalist, in any such national statute, code, or rule, then that is a corrupted politician trying to manipulate or blur the boundaries themselves.

We are, and always have been a Confederacy of Member-States that took a pledge and promise to protect, defend, and help each other in foreign affairs.

  13. To the confederation believers, we the people do not take an oath the the Article of Confederation. The actions of the states in 1788-9 changed our citizen’s allegiances. If you do not understand the solid break from the confederation form to the Constitution form means you are the ones who need to take a civics class, maybe more. We live in a Federal Constitutional republic. We all must understand our rights and responsibilities are based first on the laws written under the powers granted by the people to federal Constitution. You may not like the results but this is the facts of our system. We are patriots to the Constitution, not the Confederation. The Confederation dissolved and disappeared in 1789.

  14. Khaki Mike,

Your federal system argument is academic at best, because our Constitution lays out a federal system, and it came into being because the confederate system wasn’t working. AND, why do you think that most of our founding fathers called themselves “Federalists?”…. ( Note to self: The Federalists never founded a federal system…. (What?…. That would be like saying that Hamburger University isn’t about hamburgers…. 🙂 ….. ))
