PAVILION SMOKE & PENDAR STONES
Dylan went to Hibbing High
While others roared it was our Pavilion
If only it rhymed with lion, cuz that’s one stone that could have paved a trillion
The Argus, however, debunked that rumor well
So another stone was forced to turn or swell
It was the tale of another Zimmerman that many tried to sell
But Dylan once did claim the Dakotas with carnival eyes and probably a clown
AND, out East, he bragged about Cheyenne and Sioux Falls as well
In Fargo, he met Vee, the other Bobby, and played his bass
Vee is the one who rose while the music died
Perhaps, that’s about when Dylan met our town, and then over time some cried
Cuz, some claimed they saw him in an once Pendar basement
But whether that’s true is beyond a sworn statement
AND, the mere thought that a Lane like that knew Dylan is like a stone that hasn’t yet rolled
But eventually will, when it no longer can afford to be toled.
