Not only is this misleading, it borders on deception and libel. Doesn’t matter if you like Oklahoma State or Nebraska, it only matters who wins. Kermit won the poll, the poll you paid for. I like Santa Claus, doesn’t mean I would elect him to mayor.
This election is about qualifications, something your editors, news directors, camera men, photographers, journalists and probably janitors lack. You are pathetic source of news and you wonder why day in and day out people tune out the news? Because you try to influence instead of inform. In these last 12 days, I beg you to report the news, as is. In fact, I challenge you, because it seems you struggle with it.

I agree with you on the Stormland brand of news gathering and. But in all fairness to KELO, they did do a piece just now on Staggers leading in polling.

Ground Round was supposed to close a few years back if I recall and somehow they managed to stay afloat. Makes you wonder what the problem is.

There’s a handful of constitutional cases in progress. They are unreported in the media because Sioux Falls is without free speech.
Two methods here.
1. CASTILLO METHOD. Stall, obstruct, and continue litigation into state court costing the city millions. Continue emptying the city treasury to a point where there’s no recovery.
2. Expose what has been happening the past 8 years. Settle litigation and restore constitutional democracy.

The true news item of the poll is the election numbers. The likability numbers are interesting, but mean little. Yet those figures were their main news feature at 6, with no divulging who was actually the leader in the race. That poll should have been the basis for both the 6 and 10 reports, with the other poll added for the longer 10 pm feature.
By “that poll”, I obviously mean the Mayor numbers, not the likability.

I take little stock in any poll conducted by telephone. Way too much room for error, in spite of the pollsters claims.
Telephone polls are not representative samples from a general population. First off, it is against the law to conduct polls to mobile phone users. There alone is a huge sampling bias. Second, for those who do have land lines, how many are stupid enough to pick up the phone from an “unknown” on caller ID? And if you are, then YOU are one of the 800 who might have answered their questions. Odds are many refused to be a part of it. And how are the questions worded? That in itself can be very telling. Remember when John mcCain was leading bush in the 2000 race for president? Then a telehone poll came out in the South Carolina primary asking this question.
Would you be more or less inclined to vote for John McCain if you knew he fathered an illegitimate black baby?
John McCain went on to lose that primary which he was leading at the time based in large part on that “push” poll. So, wording in these piece of shit telephone polls does play a role in how those stupid enough to pick up a call from a stranger might respond.

Also, Mason Dixon is pretty accurate. They predicted quite a few races in the state.

I agree that polls aren’t as indicative of the true numbers as they once were. That doesn’t take away from the fact that KELO chose to make a bigger story out of their boy leading a secondary survey that really has no bearing on what we’ll see in two weeks.

The Mason Dixon polls hilited for the last week by the argus were all done by land line telephone. And Scott, you are right about kelo and their favorite son.
I wonder if they polled any people who don’t have landlines. We’re a growing demographic and the pollsters are seemingly clueless.
I guess we will find out how close Mason Dixon is April 13th?
I quit watching kelo last year when they were on the verge of advocating mandatory vaccinations for h1n1 flu by telling everyone that the primary and secondary groups ELIGIBLE to roll up their sleeves had not arrived in full force, and that anyone else stupid enough to sign up to be sick could now come in and submit to their protocol.
