The coolest political sign EVAH!

Not sure who this LaFollette dude is, but I encourage you to vote for him in Tuesday’s primary instead of Bob Litz. Bob struggles to be an effective city councilor, let alone a guy who is responsible for our elections and property taxes. I can’t imagine what kind of disaster he would be as our county auditor.

  1. Although I’d rather be endorsed based on my background, education, experience and credentials, I do appreciate your sentiment. The office DOES need a trained professional.

    Thanks.

  2. I couldn’t figure out why so many people are interested in the job until I heard it pays 90 grand. Maybe Jodi will run!

  3. Does LaFollette’s campaign sign violate city code on size restrictions for residence placement???

  4. Greg- If Kim Bartling endorsed you, that is good enough for me. Trust me, I would love to see Mr. Litz leave the city council, but not in this way.

  5. i’d like to pick up his signs after the election and use them for my garage sale!

  6. I once dabbled in running for office (should have just dabbled in pacifism), and the “brand x” candidate’s signs didn’t meet the city’s rules. But the city of SF wouldn’t just tell the other side to correct things or impose a fine. We had to physically canvas the entire city and report every single violation, because they would only direct the candidate to fix whatever signs were specifically reported.

Back to the main point, though, I think the signs we’re talking about here deserve an A+. All those others just melt into the endless chasm of advertisers trying to get our attention.

  7. LaFollette carefully researched the city and county ordinances before ordering and placing the signs – and then only on commercial property with the owner’s permission, unlike signs placed by the other two candidates who posted their signs on public rights-of-way, ditches, and illegally on private property without the owner’s permission

  8. Kaye- I’m on your side. I think people should be able to post signs wherever, no matter the size. Why should we let the overpriced billboard companies make all the money during elections? Some rules in code enforcement should just be thrown in a burn barrel with Litz’s signs and be gone forever.
