Mayor Mike Huether will present his 2011 Budget Address July 22 during a special City Council meeting.

The budget address will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the City Council Chambers in Carnegie Town Hall, 235 W. 10th St.

I took this photo this morning, this is the fullest I have seen the falls in a long time.

I try to add comments after the address today.

What time are you planning to head over there?

BAHAHAHA! I will be watching from the comfort of my basement couch in my underwear. You are welcome to join me.

  3. The budget address is not until JULY 22, 2010. It is June 24 today. Just thought you may want to get it right.

Sure. But I think I’ll wear pants.

My basement is a ‘no-pants’ zone.

Is it a bean bag chair and do you have cheetos?

It’s a Ron White comedy skit reference. He was in Sioux Falls last year.

    Good picture of the Falls.

Maybe rename the city ‘Root Beer Float’.

Sad how the mighty Sioux has become toxic and detergent from agricultural runoff. Even teflon Munson couldn’t survive a wade into it.

There was a river canoe rescue Tuesday where SF Fire was called out with ropes, winches, and toxic suits. It takes months of training to shout ‘STAND UP’. Through Sioux Falls, the river is no more than 24″ deep.

I’d go to the budget address but I’ll not have my HOME RULE T-shirt until Monday.

Huether has complete unchecked control of a 330 million per year budget. It’s like winning the lottery. It’s an excellent return for his $40,000 campaign investment. Citizens can’t buy fifth amendment constitutional rights for that.

This soon after the election, he should be like other politicians and still be partying with an open bar and free hookers.

It only takes 6″ to sweep a person off their feet. And there are holes in the river quite a bit deeper than 2′.

True. Just below the falls is dangerous if not deadly.

This was at a tranquil spot. Someone called rescue. Not knowing what to expect, they responded ready for anything. Understandable and expected.

I didn’t mean to undermine Sioux Falls Fire. I have full respect for they and Police. The problem in city government is corrupt elected officials and administration. They seek greedy overcompensated gain. It’s ‘Public Service, Not Self-Service’.

I just looked at the city’s website & it says the budget address is next month, not today?

  13. I see that, yet another misprint in the Gargoyle.
