“Look, John made lunch again.”
Ironic Johnny Thune-Bag seems to be a little mixed up about national spending while responding to the president’s SOTU;
Republican John Thune says the president’s proposal for a five-year freeze on nondefense spending is “too little, too late.”
So what have you done since you have been in office to reduce spending John? Not a DAMN thing! In fact you have continually voted to support the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, two wars that have cost us too much in money and lives and only harms the view foreign nations have of us when it comes to diplomacy.
Thune says the national debt is growing at a trillion dollars annually, and the government needs to reverse the “out-of-control spending we’ve witnessed the past two years.”
The past two years? I guess you must have short-term memory loss. What about all the money you and Bush squandered before that?
I guess this response should not surprise me, I just can’t believe South Dakotans continue to eat John’s shit sandwiches.
Thune needs to grow up. He just can’t bring himself to support an idea that came from outside of the Republican party. Is Obama’s idea the solution? Probably not… but it is a start.
This reminds me of when the Dems suggested a “Pay-go” or Pay as you go spending system where every spending bill had to be offset with cuts or tax increases to pay for them. He didn’t like that either and whined about it… but you know full well had the exact same idea came from a Republican he would have backed it 100%.
Sometimes sticking to your guns is admirable, other times it is simply childish. Thune needs to stop sucking his thumb and get something done for a change.
He sucking something alright.
