I’ll have more tommorrow on the sales tax increase vote, but I wanted to point out some memorable moments. In chronological order

– Munson gaveled me because I said the board of ethics was politically appointed. I asked him if he appointed them, he said yes. He belongs to a political party (Republican). I guess he had a problem with the truth. He really should run for governor.

– I overheard the #1 developer in SF bitchin’ about public input in the bathroom to a friend. When he noticed I walked in he sarcastically said to his friend “But, it’s America, and they have that right.” then they both laughed.

– De Knudson told me she was tired. She must volunteer her time on the council like I volunteered my time to tonight . . . yeah . . . right.

  1. i agree with you on this matter, scott. but munson was a daschle and is a johnson supporter — one of the more liberal republicans in the state.

that said, thanks for your efforts to fight this stupid tax increase. might be time to boot out all those elitists on the council.

  2. I’m getting myself a pocket gavel that I’m going to whip out next time I’m gaveled and we will have a ‘Gavel-off’. Or I’ll just hit De over the head with it to wake her up “I’m so tired.” I think she says that at every meeting that goes past 8:15.
