My Maple tree in my backyard is droopy character, and with lots of rain, it droops even more. But it is kinda cool. Here is a picture I shot this morning. Notice the pot of wild flowers about to burst. I got seeds from the SD State Museum last year and planted them last summer, and saved the seeds and replanted this year.

  1. Funny you say that, and I tried to dig up a photo, but if you would turn to your hard right you would see a privacy fence I built for my hot tub that was painted by me and Eyob Mergia of bathing women, very colorful.

  2. I have two giant Silver Maples in my front yard. My house was built in ’41 and I’m sure the trees were there long before the house. I definitely have a love/hate replationship with the Silver Maple. The buds in the spring clog my gutters and my driveway. The constant small twigs and branches that fall on my lawn. The constant pruning. I love the full bloom in late spring and the drooping when the trees are wet. Silver Maples are always the first to bloom in spring and the last to drop in fall. Amazing colors in autumn!

  3. You saved seeds and replanted them. And confessed?! Quick call the Monsanto seed police!
