1. I left a church which told you how and who to vote (pro-life, nevermind if these candidates are opposed to abortion but war mongers). I attend one where we pray for wisdom of our leaders and we pray for peace and it’s not a way out there church, it’s jello-loving ELCA. God did give us brains. I think He wants us to use them and to discern for ourselves.

   The Democratic process is not electing a bishop or spiritual leader, it’s electing a CEO and Commander in Chief and someone who will do his duty to uphold and protect the Constitution. Somewhere down the line this became quite warped and what is protected is greed of corporations, unjust wars, and poor bass ackward decisions in which the characters are acting out the false prophets in Revelation to try and bring it about. Sorting out goats and sheep, they’d be the goats, the victims of their unexcusable lying, stealing, granting of corporate favors would be the sheep. (Actually, if I could rewrite the cast of animals, let’s exchange WEASELS as part of the goats. Let’s let the sheep following the weasels sink in the firehole, let’s let the onlooking, head shaking lemurs be the rescued ones. No goats, just weasels, sheep, and lemurs.)

   It’s a tale of extreme human stupidity. It’s needless, corrupt, and polar opposite of the recipe “Love your God” and “Love others”.

2. Can you pray someone smart?

   There was a conservative pundit on the Sunday morning bobbleheads who said “She is not important because she is just the VP candidate.”

   I love how Sarah was so f’ing cool to Republicans when she joined the ticket, but now that it has been proven that she is a dumb bully hick, she is ‘Not important’.

   Sorry, but when the top of your ticket has had cancer 4 times and is 900 years old, the VP is important, and this country cannot take another dumb ass as prez.

3. Oh gosh, that is funny! “Can you pray someone smart?”

   I think the people that need the most prayers and support are the 80 year olds living without heat. The kids in lower income households where parents have to leave them unsupervised so they can work two jobs to make ends sort of meet. These are the people that are vanishing off of the polls, the GOP wins by eliminating their voice.

   I’d pray that some of the people that “think” the GOP has a moral hold or authority really look at what these guys stand for. Division by racism, by lying, by stirring the pot of anger …. favors for corporations — oh yeah, and they’ll vote anti-abortion. They’ll treat those out of the womb, but underpriviledged like dirt or worse, but see how M O R A L they are? Yeah, some are arrested or found guilty for abusing their power, but they’ve got the “I’ll vote anti-abortion out of jail free” card.

4. Correction: I’d pray that some of the people that think they are voting GOP for moral reasons WAKE UP and see what is happening.

5. I pray each day that she turns out like my Aunt Bertha Bullroar: one larger-than-life woman who tends to the needs of her family, follows the advice of men, and who’s beauty creates chills in the pant-area and spine of mankind. That is all Aunt Bertha wants, and that is all our beloved Sarah P. is promising to give us. Amen – EggBert

6. I love it when idiots like this “pastor” make the rest of Christianity look like a bunch of crazed hicks.
   This is why we shouldn’t teach stupid, yet charismatic people to read.
