Well in this case there is little room for complaint. Costco will be a vast improvement from what is there now, and there aren’t a significant number of residential homes in the area.

I’ve been holding off buying a Sam’s membership for a while after learning Costco is coming so I must say I’m pretty happy. It will be a little longer drive, but well worth it in my opinion.

How refreshing… A company that chooses an appropriate place for a large scale retail store. I will be shopping at Costco. Can you believe it, an uppety southeast resident shopping someplace that’s not Maceys.

I mobved a lot of good stuff I bought at Costco in Huntington Beach to SD when I moved back 12 years ago. Looking forward to having one nearby again.

I remember shopping there when I lived in Seattle over 20 years ago, better products, better employer, but what stands out is their employees are knowledgable, helpful, courteous and not semi-mentally ill like another ‘ahem’ said company. You may pay more then Sam’s Club, but you are getting something better. Hey, and I think the location is fantastic.

CNBC did a show “The Costco Craze” last month. If you didn’t see it, here it is. Really interesting.

I always thought Sioux Falls didn’t have enough big box stores.

  8. I think this has been in the works for a couple of years, as there has been a lot of street creation and reconstruction. There’s not enough current traffic to justify all the work.

This is the one big box that I really need. Since I moved to Sioux Falls that is one store that I really miss having and regularly buy stuff at Costco in Minneapolis when I’m there. Costco treats its people well and it shows when you go to their store. Walmart? Not so much. Now if we could get a Whole Foods, a Trader Joes and some grocery store that is *not* a HyVee…
