A customer (bragged) pointed out to me that she was tipping me with a two-dollar bill (On a $30 tab).
I said ‘Thanks.’ in the most melancholy voice I could muster.
I wanted to say,
“You know what a two-dollar bill is worth?”
“Two dollars!!!!!!”
I wonder if she tips a silver dollar for $15 tabs?

An American Silver Eagle Dollar is worth $26. By 2015 it’ll be $100. I bought some and wish I’d bought more in 2004 for $6. When they fall to $25, I’m loading up. It’s legal tender (no tax on appreciation) and has become barter (no sales tax if trade and not currency). It’s the new transaction device. Offer merchants silver eagles instead of cash. They should waive sales tax.
Next time I’ll tip you one silver eagle. You don’t have to claim it as tip income.
Funny you bring that up, I was thinking the same thing after I posted it, a silver dollar would be a good tip!
