School District sends out inaccurate information to substitute teachers

1. Based upon the passive-aggressive tone of Stehly’s letter, I wouldn’t expect a response anytime soon.

   Seriously – this isn’t the way to submit a request. Drop the little jabs and veiled insults and keep it professional. Also, if she is going to write “we” throughout the document, she shouldn’t sign it alone.

   I respect what she is trying to do, but I don’t respect how she is doing it.

2. If only you knew how she was being treated.

   I will clarify a few things;

   1) When they sent out this letter with their attached (incorrect info) They sent it to all the subs, but did not attach the info sheet on Stehly’s letter, she had to get it from another sub.

   2) One of the school board members hung up the phone on her when she asked him for information. That is uncalled for.

   3) Sue Simons says the information is correct because she is going by Harrisburg’s policy of last year (Huh?)

   4) They are in need of subs, so I can’t understand why they treat them this way. Stehly was called 8 times the first two days of school to sub. 8 TIMES! You can’t tell me they don’t need subs.

3. Seems like there’s a list of subs that is public information. They’d come together if contacted. There’s more power as a group. They couldn’t become s union but they could walk out. The district would have to pay the going rate to get them back or hire new ones.

4. The district should resolve this now. Later would be negative press. It’s already major embarrassment. Homan should resign.

5. I don’t know about the resolution part, but I do agree, Homan should resign.
