Had to chuckle, yesterday on AL’s ‘100 Eyes’ show, (un)managing editor, Patrick Lalley announced that they finally built a real recording studio (even though it looks like the old one) and they will be doing a daily ‘100 Eyes’ show for their 25 viewers.

  1. A DAILY show? I watch it reasonably often, but a daily show? I dunno. As stated, how many viewers are there? I’m one of a few from what I can tell. I haven’t been able to watch as much lately as I cancelled my Argus subscription for a variety of reasons. The only way I usually do get through is when the site is malfunctioning (which is pretty often) and it erroneously doesn’t paywall me or if I care enough to do a little trick in the browser to reset my page view allowance – which I barely even bother doing because there are other ways to find as good or better content. The thing I’ve found, no surprise, I really haven’t missed it (the subscription). I can find more or less the information I need from other sources, the free content they plop on Facebook, or just going to/watching meetings myself.

  2. Greg – Nice seeing you speak at the council meeting last night. Have you ever done that before?

I have found that David Montgomery’s FREE blog has way more information about what is going on in the state legislature then any other news source in the state.

I think the daily show will only be 30 minutes, Mon, Wed-Friday, and will focus on different topics and guests. They have been talking about doing something like this for several years, not sure what took so long.

  3. I spoke at a meeting on a particular zoning issue a year or two back. So second time. Need to do it more, public speaking not my favorite thing, but the more you do it the better it gets. Probably would be better doing it ‘off the cuff’ instead of prepared statement as its easy to look down and lose track on the page 🙂 Agree on David M’s blog. That’s pretty informative usually. Daily show makes more sense with those caveats. Might be interesting.

  4. They can use the set for kiddy pictures with the Easter Bunny or Santa. it’s about the only way for the Argus to make money anymore.

  5. Not my forte. I’m not a public person unless someone (ie. Huether) threatens democracy and gets rich from public funds.

  6. They should have bought the old Captain 11 set. At least that way they would have an actual chance to get 100 eyes watching their show.

Now shake one arm… now shake two arms… now shake two arms and one leg…

  7. Just for historic sake, isn’t this the same studio room where they use to tape ‘Romper Room?’
