10 Thoughts on “NOVEMBER 13, 2007

  1. um yeah.

rapists, molesters, money launderers, homosexuals, and christians.

    we’re all the same 🙂

  2. Bobbi, Bobbi, Bobbi,

Reading into what just isn’t there, aren’t we?

I said ‘Hypocrital’ Christians and ‘Closet’ Homosexuals. If you are neither I don’t see how I was putting you in the same boat?

I suggest some reading comprehension classes.

  3. oh. now it’s more funny. ha.

yeah. sometimes i ask the Lord why i was not born into an age when being a christian was not so often equated with being the lowliest form of life.

probably because i have a big enough mouth to bring up the craziness of it all.

no hard feelings scottie. you cannot make ME resign!

  4. Better get ready for the “War on Christmas” I know my guns are all cleaned . . . give me a break.

I’m sure you can think of a ‘few’ Christian hypocrites that serve in the state house can’t you? ‘cough’ Roger ‘cough’ ‘cough’ Hunt ‘cough’

  5. “no hard feelings scottie. you cannot make ME resign!”

    I didn’t twist any arms.

  6. well, we all know that christian hypocrites are WAY WORSE than regular hypocrites!

    my bad 🙂

  7. Yeah, I’m one of those ‘Deist Hypocrites’. We’re one of the worst kind because we don’t know who’s teachings to follow, so we can be considered as a hypocrite in any faith.

I think I was talking about politicians mostly. I don’t care if you are a hypocrite, you’re not running for office.

  8. oh good. cause i really am not so good with not being a hypocrite, most days anyway.

so, who is your Most High, as a Deist?
    Benjamin Franklin?

  9. Franklin was up there. In the latest book about him “American Life” his friends begged him to accept Jesus Christ on his death bed, his response was “I have helped my fellow man my whole life, I have done what God has asked of me. I am not afraid to die.” or something like that. At his funeral every single clergy in Boston came. Including Muslims, Jews, protestants, etc.

Washington was a closet deist and Jefferson was hot and cold and was quite knowledgeable when it came to theology. I think our earliest founding fathers were so scared of theocratic government that they tried to stay neutral on the issue of religion. They were a lot more independent then we are today.

  10. hmmm.

might have to read that book sometime. sounds like he thought it was all about “works” though, with a statement like that, right?
