The main reason I took out the nominating petitions was to encourage others to run. This has happened. I have often contested that I wield a much bigger sword on my blog then I ever would on any council, commission or board.
Not to mention, I like to have a lot of fun in my personal life, and sometimes that ‘fun’ doesn’t really matchup with political office. Well maybe it does 🙂
Anyhoo, I want to thank everyone who signed my petition.
Maybe someday Detroit Lewis will serve publicly, but not today.
No one saw that coming.
I think I said from the beginning I was going to leave it open ended. My lifestyle and blogging don’t make it ideal for me to serve as a politician. Maybe someday in the future. I’m glad to see others are running though.
