I love this picture of Huether in DC as a delegate, his wife is happy to be front and center, but where is the State’s #1 Democrat hanging out? In the back row, hiding his T-Shirt. Good stuff.

  1. Thanks Minnehaha County Republicans for making this a partisan race. You just helped Huether get reelected.

    Sarcasm intended in the first sentence and not the second.

  2. I heard through the grapevine that the Jamison campaign was opposed to the mailer.

    While I think it will probably make some Democrats mad, it would mainly be the ones who would vote for Huether anyway. I think this just probably persuaded undecided Republicans.

  3. How stupid are the Republicans? Don’t they know momentum when they stare it in the eye? They just blew their cause with this postcard. I take back everything I just wrote on DWC about the doubt of the mayoral election outcome. Boy, the Republicans really are nervous about Heuther, aren’t they? And they definitely show it here….. It’s Huether for Governor in 2018 now, although I still think Mickelson will probably beat him then, but for now there are too many stupid Republicans with their own ambitions, which might include gubernatorial ambitions, that can’t tell the tree from the forest…. and this postcard proves it….

  4. Hay commander he disclosed around 3,000,000. Probably 4mil since rmb got more planning commission approvals again

  5. We, the people, should know Huether’s worth. He was supposed to file a financial report. He did, on a post it note. His lack of disclosure is enough reason to not vote for him. It’s simply amazing how he’s become a multimillionaire while serving 4 years at 100k as mayor. Another one of those lottery winners who will be broke & homeless (incarcerated) in a few years?

  6. The picture, where’s Waldo?
    Are these the few we’re building indoor tennis & pool for?
    Democrat delegates or the Pickleball league?

  7. Notice he parks a bunch of his millions in a 501c3 trust. I wonder how many more he has elsewhere?

  8. It is NONE of our business what MMM or any of the others candidates are worth. Judge them based on FACTS and not supposition or innuendo. We appear to be quick to point a finger and make all kinds of unsupported claims. Enough is enough. Support your claims. Afterall we do live in the best small city in the country. We must be doing something right.

  9. A friend who used to live here told me this recently;

    “I have been getting mailers from the heuther campaign to my Montana address (not the change of address sticker, they have my current address). And phone calls. What a waste of money.”

    Not sure who is running his campaign, but that is a huge fail.

  10. So, your friend has moved to Montana and not changed his voter registration? ‘Cause the only way that could be happening id that he’s still registered to vote in SD – like all those RVer’s that “live in” Alexandria.

    Now that is a fail.

  11. What does this campaign ad have to do with President Obama? I am not a Huether fan, but it has nothing to do with his political affiliation, nor should it have anything to do with President Obama’s appearance in the ad.
    I know it states that it was paid for the Republican Party, but I find it hard to believe that this comparison ad would have been endorsed by a majority of M.C. Republicans? If so, so, it would be a very sad commentary. Hmmmm, who was really the impetus for this?
