The video also includes a concerned citizen talking about SAM & Paratransit.

Sorry the audio and video doesn’t matchup. Let’s just say this ‘Public’ video is very hard to ‘Publicly’ access 🙂

  1. MMM must have really enjoyed the presentation. The guy was spot-on with his observations/comments. Funny how we did not see this anywhere in the media (or did we?).

  2. Great job Dan. I still say the City caused a constructive change order to save a few pennies, therefore they will pay, and I bet it didn’t even hit the punch list as an item, it will be a little consent item down the road and nothing more will be heard of it. I hope I’m wrong, but the city council won’t do a damn thing, even the new comers, they just yawn. Thanks a taxpayer who is not totally broke but getting there living in this town. who will pay for this and the other follies of MMM

  3. Odd but no comment from any one on the council since Mr Daly made his presentation a few weeks ago. Public comments are always welcome but nothing says we have to listen to them. How about paying for an out-of-town expert to review this situtation, oh wait, we did that too, didnt we? Does anyone know how that is working for us?

  4. Like I have posted before, it will b a punch list item, they will install a few more screws, and a half a truckload of caulk and BAM, there we have it. 5 years from now when all the shine wears off that exterior, all those buckles won’t be as noticeable, so kick back and enjoy the concerts, and sporting events! Just got my invitation from Dana Dykhouse, can’t wait to see Chicgo there!

  5. It is great the Mayor won’t release the report written by the former Mortenson siding expert employee to the Council.

How many times does it have to be rewritten by the crack city attorney to meet the mayor’s version?

  6. Just got my invitation from Dana Dykhouse, can’t wait to see Chicgo there!

You and Dana pretty close are ya? Chicago is a shell of what the real Chicago band was. There lead singers and songwriters of their real hits are gone. This Chicago group is not unlike a lot of so called groups like the beachboys and others who are using a name to take your money.

  7. Lots of rain this week. Here comes an indoor Sioux Empire Fair. First (without competitive bids), award the contract to your campaign finances developer and your wife. Then hire the same 6 figure consultant three times to conduct an eronneous poll, pick a location, and name it Sanford. Third, hire Temps to fill out ballots for the approval election. Now fee/fine citizens for mad money, mortgage city assets, & cook the books into the black. Fifth, wine & dine a brokerage so they’ll issue half a billion in bonds. Last, tell the council what you’re up to & jail anyone who says anything at a council meeting.

If there’s an MBA for organized crime, this is the course work.

Thank you for your well prepared and informative presentation on the major issues with the events center construction.
At least now word will leak out about the MAJOR structural problems at the E.C.
I can’t believe the mayor and council just sat there after that and not one word since. Once again “it’s not a problem!”
I applaud you for bringing this to the public’s attention.

  9. There was a study commissioned by the council. It was done by a collaborator with Mortensen (the prime contractor). It was completed at the end of July but not released. Apparently, this issue is so wrong even a partial consultant has nothing good to say.
I can’t take full credit for investigating this. There’s a semi-confidential group. Another party was to present this. I offered instead because my local presence can’t be attacked via personal or business retribution. His presentation would have been better but the city attorney had him jailed. His civil rights case is pending, no comment.
Thanks for comments. If someone has something negative, let’s hear it.

  10. Dan – if you just stuck with the calm, well thought out presentations of the facts -and stayed away from the conspiracy theories and personal attacks – you’d be a MUCH MORE EFFECTIVE advocate.

  11. Rufusx – agreed, I’m growing. One fault with age is you feel you know it all. There’s always lots to learn. More importantly, I can miss change if I don’t take what others have to say into account.
