Many people do not know this is not the Sioux River. It was but has become the diversion channel. The major fork of the river is around the northeast side of town leading into Brandon. Does this mean the city has no namesake and should be called ‘Huether Falls’? Mt. McKinley in Alaska was renamed Denali Mtn.. Why not?
