Mayor Huether continues to LIE about Aquatic center funding

Even after councilor Jamison nicely asked the finance and parks department to stop peddling the ‘CASH’ payment lie to the public, the Mayor couldn’t resist to put it in his ‘State of the City’ address today. (Full Presentation: Stateofcity)

The money came from the Levee Bond repayment from the Federal government intended to actually pay off the bonds when they come due in a couple of years.

There are so many lies attached to the Aquatic center, what’s the harm in continuing them?

    Councilor Jamison did indeed try to instill some good conscience in MMM and his minions about the true nature of the aquatic center financing . . . . but NOOOOO. To perpetuate this “paid for in cash” fantasy as MMM continues to do is blatant misrepresentation. Man, what a spin doctor. He needs to have his license yanked.

    What happens when the Feds find out? I’ve always opposed this Roman-like bathhouse. However, it’s built on federal land and (once bankrupt) will eventually revert to the VA for swim therapy. Would it not be in their interest to invite the state of Sd to come and audit to see that we have our little old city of Gotham reality show going on right hear in Sanford falls. How can one person create all this hell on us? Some on the council could be gaining personally from this it appears.

    Why didn’t they offer a car wash to go along with this, I mean our parks guy Kearney could have used this just as much as the SnowFox swim team, just saying. A dozen punches for a car wash to feel clean and not an a clown WTF
