The rumor is that the SD Highway Patrol was assisting the effort and the SFPD was prepared to send 30 officers to the site for ‘crowd control’ training and assistance, but backed out. I guess a local TV station has been digging around on the issue.

Yeah right. Your echo chamber needs a good cleaning.

  2. Let me figure out this strategy. Crime is rising here so let us send our officers to North Dakota, huh?

  3. It means your echo chamber is full of poop. You floated a rumor that the PD was preparing to send 30 officers to ND. Your rumor was found to be completely false by the Argus. You thump your chest and say “no look, a reporter asked about it like I said (newspaper not TV btw)”.

  4. McFly, nice try, this is what I said,

“SFPD was prepared to send 30 officers to the site for ‘crowd control’ training and assistance, but backed out.”

    This is what Clemens said,

“We have not sent anybody and don’t have any plans to at this point,” said Sam Clemens, SFPD public information officer. “We’re not able to send anybody just because of the limitations with manpower.”

In other words they were asked, looked at the limitations, and backed out. In fact when the media poked around (it was a TV station) that is when the SFPD had a change of heart.

  5. Clemens said nothing about 30 cops going anywhere. You lose credibility when you make things up. Just stop.

This is becoming another Waco TX. Sure, send the MRAP. Bomb them while they shoot back with slingshots. Keep our boys (literally) home. ND has a national guard and Minot AFB. It’s over an interstate pipeline. It’s a federal problem. If the city sends our police, why not send the rest to Aleppo? The city needs common sense and leadership. There’s rampant murder and robbery here. Why send our troops while we’re busy building sports facilities.

There’s a simple one word answer to this issue….WINTER.

  8. Spinner – Relax, the PD deployment has been debunked. Please try to keep up..
