13 Thoughts on “Another mayoral candidate that wants to sell us something

  1. I liked Paul’s comment, “I’m jeans kinda guy, so you better get used to it.” If I ever run for office, I’m going to say, “I’m a boxer kinda guy, so you better get used to it.”

  2. i’d guess pth and mmm get their jeans tailored at the same place.

Dismiss him and his chances at your own peril. He, more than any announced or likely candidate, has the capacity to motivate younger voters in significant numbers. That can and will make the difference in this election. The two front runners likely get this; and it should make them shake in their boots.

  4. Trust me, I have learned from the annointment of MMM. I do not underestimate Paul TenGallonManureScoop. But he would have to make some pretty historic moves to get out the young vote. The last time they voted in high numbers was the EC vote, historically they don’t show up for muni-elections. Just look at the dismal numbers of the school board race. He’s going to have to hug the old ladies and shave his face.
Paul also has a checkered past with his best client, the SD GOP, and if he thinks he can hide from that in a non-partisan race, he is silly. I think SF voters are fiscal conservatives but tend to lean pretty left to center on social issues. He’s going to have to cover up quite a bit from his neo-con past, because the media and myself haven’t even scratched the surface on those things.

Millen, what exactly can pth promise millennials that will drive them to the polls? Better paying jobs? Lower smartphone bills?

pth, you do not stand a snowballs chance in hell without a whole lot of pac money. How do you equate pac money to millenials?

It occurred to me that there are no veterans running for mayor. Basic public service would be to have served your country in the military. Give me a candidate who didn’t dodge military service and vows to replace Nazi Strong Mayor Charter with democracy.
Come to think of it, nobody on the council is a vet nor are any of the city directors. It’s terrible that none of the 74 employees at the Parks Dept. is a minority. It’s worse that the city discriminates against veterans.

  8. its ironic in the past you have focused many of your rants about being bullied by the mayor, rex, and many other city people but yet you resort to name calling etc yourself

win or lose at least the guy is willing to run for office. unlike you who continues to be the first guy to complain about everything. If things are so bad, why dont you run for office and make it better?

you lose credibility because you have nothing else to go on so stop the hearsay and show your cards what do you got to lose your not running for office……

  9. Spin, Settle Down Beavis. I believe Anderson is a former Marine. The only other one that I think might have served is Mike Gun, but you would have to ask him. Tom Greco, City Clerk is retired military, and I think there are a few city directors that are former military. Personally, I get tired of retired military people in elected positions.

  10. guest, I have realized over the past couple of years that I have accomplished way more with my blog and activism than I ever would as a city councilor under Home Rule Charter.

    I agree.

The issues you discuss on this blog have obviously touched a nerve with guest.

Forgot about Anderson. He’s my vote at this point. Agreed, your blog and activism has been a strong voice. Indeed, you’re the only transparency. The city editing or not showing meetings video is constitutionally criminal. I’m hoping Home Rule Charter gets debates attention. Ideally, it should be replaced but average Joe refuses to believe he has no rights at city hall. A Strong Mayor or Petition and Vote should replace it. As for the city clerk, ex-military who deliberately provides the wrong form for petitions is not a patriot.
