It is no surprise that Jim would defend the guy who officiated his daughter’s wedding, by putting the red herring out there that we ‘may’ save money by keeping settlements secret. The only other person who agrees with this silliness is Rex Rolfing, who ironically is the one to point out publicly that the siding looked like crap, and doesn’t give a rat’s ass that we now will have more expensive runoff elections (his idea);

“Now we need to sit back and say, ‘Could we have done things better?’ and then let’s move on,” said Jim Entenman.

“There’s gonna have to be a lot more digging into — do we go into negotiated settlements or not? Or do we go into court cases? Which is the best use of the citizens’ money?” said Entenman.

This isn’t about money Jim, this is about open government, transparency and a lying loser of a mayor. Jim’s statements above should be enough to dissuade you from voting for him. In fact he was the ONLY mayoral candidate to defend the secrecy.

  1. Secrecy keeps a matter ongoing. Isn’t it better to face the issue and fix it without years of excuses and a state court case. Transparency is not only truth but also honor and ethics. Entenman would be another Huether.

  2. I wouldn’t support him if he were the only declared candidate. He is a Huether-Rolfing clone!

  3. WOW…He’s either so arrogant or so inept that he cant see the voters are not happy with the secrecy. He’ll be easily undone in any kind of debate on this issue.

    Pound him hard on this issue Jamison.

  4. City government is a PUBLIC business. A municipality is a PUBLIC corporation. Seems to me when someone is opposed to accountability and transparency, they’re basically saying to the public that “this is none of your business.” That attitude is not appropriate for a PUBLIC servant.

    I would add secrecy and lack of transparency is not only wrong (except in special circumstances) but detrimental to good government and themselves too costly to the PUBLIC, AKA TAXPAYERS.

  5. The mayor’s daughter was married at St. Joseph’s Cathedral. Only Catholic priests officiate at Catholic wedding masses.

  6. Paternalism is what must be immediately eliminated. Huetherism is a trait that is proven communism. Reestablishing democracy takes priority. We need patriots who subscribe to democratic values and power for the people.

  7. Wonder if Jill Entenman, wife of mayoral candidate Jim Entenman, will resign from 2 citizen boards if he is elected?
