I’m not opposed to phased in water rate increases. This city is fortunate enough to have good water from a good source. Other cities have water quality issues such that it’s hard to sell your house and you don’t want to buy there. Real estate value is linked to water quality. It’s only right to treat wastewater so that there’s no environmental impact for future generations to address. I’ve always been impressed with Mark Cotter. If there’s another someone like him, make him Parks Director.
