UPDATE: City Councilor Stehly is proposing a cell phone ban at the council meeting. She is likely basing it on the Rapid City ordinance. She will do a presentation on the proposal at the Tuesday Informational.

  1. “presecedence?” That’s how a nervous politician would answer a question….. Or maybe spell it…. 😉

  2. If it’s Public Comment you must answer in the form of a question knowing it will not be answered. If you’re not an insider, all 3 curtains are a Zonk. Instead of Erickson turning letters, how about Scarlett Johansson?

  3. someone plz tell neal tapio he can quit drive-by stalking the 200 block since shantel dont have her shop there no more.

  4. Neal is probably looking for where Paul gets those sneakers.

  5. It is about time this was addressed! The obvious texting we (the public) have observed during council meetings is so immature and disrespectful to the public.

Even in high school and college classes student phones are not allowed as students are expected to focus on the info being presented and discussed.

Just another obvious display of far less maturity on the council than in the school system.

  6. Good. I hope she can get it passed.

I think those councilors who vote against it will look very foolish.

  7. I heard being a “SugarDaddy” requires constant communication and placating, however.

  8. Electronic communication is actually a violation of our public input limitations legislation. All communication whether, electronic or verbally spoken needs to be treated the same……….same limitations and transparency!!!!!!!!!!
