Oh, and besides not understanding the duties of the 4th Estate, they take the opportunity of reporting on an emergency to ask for your subscription money. I’ve seen a lot of things in ‘bad taste’ in our local media, but this takes the cake. Funny, KELO, KSFY, KELOLAND & KDLT all shared the information for FREE, oh, and in real time.

  1. The tornado didn’t affect me. No power outage.
Did a house land on Munchkin Huether? Follow the yellow brick road but weave around potholes and inspected yet collapsing buildings downtown.

  2. STOP dogging the Argus leader. When all news stations called it a night right after the major storm.Hello .Hum did anyone hear any tornado siren s go off.Usually when we have major storm activity all our stations stay up and running .Why news coverage?Oh I get it they all were all out trying to see who get best photos of the morning news ?If anyone should get a big THANK YOU is Tea Storm Chasers .

  3. I don’t really vist Argus’ website anymore because if you don’t use an ad block utility, the site is overrun with ad boxes and banners, along with an annoying autoplay video ad in the bottom right corner when you read an article. These all go away if you use an ad blocker, but last time I tried that, AL would cover the article with a message telling you to turn off the ad blocker to continue reading. You couldn’t close that message box at all.

I do whitelist the local blogs like this though, since the ads here aren’t annoying.

  4. Linda really, tea storm chasers? more like tea copy paste’rs, those guys don’t deserve any credibility for anything they report err steal from other sources

  5. Once again the city of Sioux Falls being run (not led) by the kids in charge are not ready for disasters. They only want to get on Facebook and Twitter to let the citizens know there is an impending disaster. Childishness runs amok.

Facebook games by the kids in charge, now there is a disaster unfolding before our eyes as our asses are blown to Iowa.

  6. MAJOR FAIL on 911’s part!!

Impending tornado and only a small part of the city is warned.

Caused by human error……..time for some termination notices!!

  7. You’re the only asshole I know who would bitch about a free newspaper. We all know you’d take a paycheck from them if you could.

  8. I didn’t say it needed to be free. If they had a half a brain they would realize that by giving some of their online content FREE they might get more subscribers.

  9. Thank god every Argus reporter spent the entire day tweeting about how hard they were working and how tired the are. Maybe just do the job like your predecessors did & display an ounce of professionalism FFS
