Whether you agree or disagree with Stehly or Jensen, this recount isn’t really about them, it is about the integrity of the process. I have heard about a lot of questionable things happening during the process. The example below is a good example of some of the mistakes that may have been made. More than likely the ballots were double counted in this precinct (Item #41). It is nearly impossible to get a 89% voter turnout in a city election. There are probably a lot of examples of this, such as ballots that may not have been counted in other precincts.

I am unaware how the process is going, but from the calendar, you can see that the installation ceremony is canceled until the recount is complete. I think Stehly has 5 days after the canvas (June 9) to ask for the recount. It could be another two weeks before we know the results.

  1. Recounts are almost always a waste of time and money. But not this time. Recount is a must.

  2. Precinct with the next highest voter turnout was @40.1%.
Possible that 0312 had nearly 90% turnout. But not very probable.

  3. I was told Stehly won’t hire an attorney. And for some reason, she views legal representation as some sort of concession to “politics as usual”. That the view from atop a very high horse. If this is the case, many people put in a lot of work, including Stehly, and got thoughtless disregard in return. I understand Stehly got slapped around by Mean Christine and the boys – and harder than anyone else. But why let Mean win without pushback now?

  4. Councilor Stehly NEEDS legal representation in this process.

You can bet Alex Jensen will be represented by attorneys, those who donated that 100,000+ to his campaign WANT to protect their interests!

  5. Voting is always suspicious and irregular here. One year the polling places were hidden. This year the election date was moved and there’s doubt about mail in ballots. Stehly is an honest incorruptible citizen who the criminal council wanted removed. Normally, when you’re a member of a criminal street gang you can’t quit. I think she’ll be happy now amidst citizens of good character. People with strong values who might eventually vote to remove Strong Mayer Anarchy.

  6. Why in the world didn’t you post my comment explaining that the discrepancy is merely that they put in the wrong number of registered voters, and it’s not some grand conspiracy. Oh wait! You don’t care about facts, just ginning up clicks.

  7. Just in case my original post wasn’t intentionally deleted, here it is- Whoever made the report made a mistake/typo in the number of registered voters in Precinct 0312. Using the reports from the 2018 election, there were 1,995 registered voters in precinct 0312. Using that number, and not the typo, the voter turnout would be 25.16%. All it takes is some simple research. It’s usually that somebody made a simple mistake, not that anybody did anything nefarious.

  8. Every seventeenth vote was an undervote? She had better be hiring an attorney!

  9. Reliable Voter

….slapped around by Mean Christine and the boys….

The reputation Erickson is building for herself will not serve her well when she attempts to run for mayor.

  10. Stehly did not receive $10,000 from our former governor or $85,000 in donations to be another rubber stamp to be manipulated by Christine, and Paul.

I am certain she has spent all the $19,000 income she earned as part-time councilor on the Stehly Reports, etc. trying to inform and help all citizens.

If you want her to hire an attorney then contact her with a donation. Make your contact here.

  11. Yes, merely a typo. That’s it.
A typo still maintained in the unofficial record of the election on the City website.

  12. VSG,
All of those undervotes. Perhaps those voters who cast ballots for the choice of the political establishment to the school board were indifferent as to casting a vote in the At-Large City Council race (even though the choice of the political establishment in that race had received an endorsement from Mrs Mickelson’s husband)? *

    * Written in the most extreme of sarcasm fonts.

  13. TS and the school candidates weren’t on TV. 1600 fewer undervotes in the city election versus the school race proves what TV can do for a candidate.
